Reliable low radiation phone

Happy holidays,

I'm getting ready to replace my Motorola W385 after two years. I have been pleased with it's strong signal and call quality. I have learned, however, that it's at the very top of the list of radiation (SAR).

I would like a smartphone but don't want to pay for data or email.

That being said, can anyone recommend a good, reliable, strong signal basic phone with great voice quality and ease of text messaging?

The most important aspects are signal strength (call quality), reliability, and a low radiation (SAR) rating.

Thank you for any & all advice!

This is just my opinion but the samsung knak seems like a pretty reliable phone. Easy text. If you prefer a QWERTY keyboard then..... enV touch? I'm not really sure it is just what you prefer. Sorry I can't really help much

Good call quality == high SAR

You get great reception BECAUSE it kicks out lots of energy. You WILL sacrifice connection quality for a lower SAR handset. If you're really worried about energy emissions, carry a cabled headset and don't put the phone next to your brain.

Aside from the usual "Why on earth would you want a smartphone without an internet connection?" banter the next best offering I could recommend is one of the latest LG devices. The enV3, enV Touch and Chocolate Touch all have MS Outlook Sync capability if you're looking to get better calendaring out of a "dumberPhone."

I have yet to sell a Chocolate Touch with a data plan (I've sold about ten). It's been the "data-free" variation of the Env Touch in our store.

I won't sell one without the data...Customers don't listen so when you tell them that there will be data charges if they get on the internet, they start drooling and phasing out.

This helps my paycheck and keeps the customer from screaming at me for their $300 bill because THEY got online with their touch screen phone.
