Does anyone know if a Big Red store will be the only place to pick up a Tour or will Best Buy carry them or any other high end retailer? Thanks.

We haven't heard anything official from our company yet. But we had the storm when it launched, so I'm sure we'll have the Tour when it launches.

1. The Cellular Connection. Most of the stores are in Indiana/Ohio/PA/Illinois/etc. We're one of the largest Retailers for Verizon.

2. As soon as I find out for sure if I am getting the phone in my store you can bet I'll start advertising the hell out of it. I mentioned the storm because we are one of the only retailers to get the device on launch day. (at least around here). we also got the new pearl the day it launched, so It's a pretty good bet we'll get the Tour.. as long as there isn't some software glitch like there was with the storm, I can see most major retailers getting it at launch day or at least that week. Big box retailers like best buy/wal mart might be a few weeks behind the curve just because of the volume they req...

ahhhh cool thanks for the good info. So i guess i should probably just stick to going to a BR store and snatching one. I called one of the local ones here earlier today and the guy told me the won't open till 12 that day ...i guess because its a Sunday. Im an existing customer and im not due an upgrade so i know i'll be paying a lot for it. He said depending on how many they recieved it maybe possible that i won't get one.

Yeah, if you are buying one retail, your best bet is a Corp store because they will have the largest stock.

Depending on the store, retailers may not sell Blackberries outright because of the potential lost sale it could create if they get a customer looking to get one on a new act/upgrade.

Also, I would avoid big box stores (best buy/walmart) if you are buying retail. I can't speak for every store, but i know that in every case our retail prices are cheaper than walmart's by at least $150 on higher end phones.

Yeah there is always a segment of low ball losers on CL...but brand new curves have been going for 200 hundred never used for a while in my area...now Storms are dropping in price drastically sure in anticipation of the Tour.

As of today (6/29), the VW has the Curve for $49 and Storm for $149 (after instant online rebates). I am waiting for the Tour as my first BB.
