Wonderful news from Verizon...And to think I was going to switch when my contract ran out...Now there is more to look forward to in the forseeable future...BTW...The Android is an absolute sweet phone. Just hope Verizon doesnt strip it down to nothing as they've been known to do on occasion with their BB

WTF YOU SAID IPHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Same goes for the iPhone and AT&T. AT&T will release a new Apple exclusive and the iPhone will be old news at that point.
That leaves Verizon with the Storm which didn't succeed the iPhone's sales and the Pre will far surpass the Storm's sales if many professional predictions are correct.

Oh yeah...Palm also mentioned in a press release that the exclusivity of the Pre may be extended past 6 months based on the sales of the Pre. Sales are expect to surpass the numbers set by Palm. Sprint and Palm are already expecting a complete sell out of devices.
after using an iphone, storm and playing with the pre, palm got it right in the touch department. the size is good, the ui is very responsive and the keyboard helps. and it's based of linux. enough said.

Keyboard sucks on the Pre its already been stated, way too cramped.. Pre looks very thick also.. I think its going to be a bomb, new iPhone coming at same time is going to cause any hype to fizzle...Nice try palm but uuuhhhh NO.
The Iphone is by far the coolest device to ever be released. But each year they release a new model. I don't see this years being that much better. And have you read about all of the pissed Iphone owners who have to update every summer.
And the Pre keyboard actually has a nice size and feel to it. I use a Curve, and the Pre that I have played with the last two weeks is definitely comparable.
Just my opinion.
1. Sprint is already talking major shortages of the device. And some are saying the shortages are intentional to test out the web OS servers under a lighter load. Not a great start for Sprint.
2. palm is falling fast, they cannot survive with Sprint as their only option, they need verizon, and verizon could use some fresh devices from Palm. And even if the pre is 4-6 months old, it will still sell like hotcakes on big red.
3. You iphone take is absurd. I will personally bet my house that verizon could sell 3-5 million iphone units in 12 months regardless of what model other carriers currently have available. People want the iphone, but they dont want t...

They are getting to be like nails on a chalkboard.
Let me guess...in your reply to this you will tell me how bad Sprint sucks and how they are losing millions of customers and At&t sucks and Verizon has the best.....
