This is a personal decision that is based on 1 main factor:

How is the coverage for both options in your area?

Because no matter how much cheaper the Boost option may be, if it doesn't have good coverage in your area, then the savings don't really mean much. And vice versa. If Boost has the same or better coverage, then the savings will make sense. But that is something that only you can answer.

i live in the San Francisco bay.. (HOLLLAAAA)... and with Verizon i literally get one dropped call a month or less.. foreel. i love my coverage and costumer service i recieve.

I know NO ONE with Boost Mobile so its hard to tell if the iDEN is any good. I do have family members who have verizon now and used to have Nextel and i remember them having calls that cut in and out when they are at my house.. but that was like 5 years ago so im not sure if the network is any better now.

Hmm.. what DOES irritate me though is the fact that Boost doesnt have 3way calling... hmm

The fact that you started this thread tells me you should definitely go to boost!

is money an issue, why are you trying to switch so bad?

Have you checked out t-mobile? there are about to release an uber cheap unlm min plan and I heard they have pretty solid coverage in the bay area.

I would personally go tmobile over boost, stay away from anything connected to sprint, its a horrible company (boost uses the sprint nextel network)

i live in a new development where Verizon is the only one that gets crystal clear service.. AT&T get spotty service and so does Nextel... Sprint (cdma) gets 1 bar at my house.. if anything.. Tmobile gets ZERO coverage =[

then suck it up and stay with verizon, whats the point of paying less and but getting terrible service.

find somewhere else in your life to cut your budget...i would advice against changing carriers at this point.

ayee when i think about it.. thats probably the best advice ive gotten so far in 2009.. to find some other area in my financial life to cut my budget..

im not being sarcastic.. im foreel.. thanks!

and as far as switching.. i guess ur right. there really isnt any point in switching if im gonna encounter phone calls that drop conversations.. or even worse.. keeps the conversation but cuts in and out.

take more sack lunches to work, cut back on going to bars, dont smoke as much (if you smoke), carpool more, eat out less...

These are all simple ways to cut $50-100 a month in your monthly budget very quickly.

Good luck and I hope you decide to stick with verizon!

I am with Chris on this one... If your coverage is the best and you don't want to deal with poor coverage or "lesser" coverage i say stay. Cell phone companies are only good for you if they work where you live/use your phone. Verizon may be crappy in one area but great in others. If they are great and no one else can provide good coverage where you are thats that. I'd hate to have crap service. Reguardless how how much i'm spending.

I think Boost…Sprint/Nextel have defiantly thrown down the price gauntlet with their $50 everything plan.

Although I’m reminded of the old saying, “you get what you pay for.”

Well, according to AT&T, using over 750 mins in a Roaming Area, in a 3-Way call, ect. is "Unreasonable Usage".

The only network thats doesnt care how much you use what-so-ever is Verizon.

Thats why they call theres Truly Unlimited Calling.
