How do you like your job? Thinking about going over there. I know they pay more and benefits are better than where I'm at, but they are about 3 times as far away as my current employer. How is the working environment? Thank you!

hey queen... I know we got started off on the wrong foot, but I do respect you and think the level of pride you take in your work would make you a good match... I'm in the midwest, but overall, VZW is a great place to work. We just got our annual short term incentive payout last paycheck, which was a very nice bonus... and VZW didn't even have to get a loan from the government to pay it out 😉
They're currently hiring as many other carriers are doing layoffs, and were just able to write a check for Alltel, as some carriers aren't even able to afford to care for their own network. I feel that it's a good, stable company.

Thank you! That really does mean a lot to me! And yes, that's basically what is happening at my current employer. There is no job security or employee loyalty. I think the main reason is because I do not work directly for ATT, I work for a contractor, which makes it harder because all they want to do is kiss ATT's butt, and will throw a rep under the bus to do so. There's almost a little too much variety that it can feel a little overwhelming at times, because you're billing, tier 1 tech support, warranty, sales at times (short of actually setting up a new line), along with the usual - friend, psychologist, sympathetic ear. But the customers truly are great. I guess I'm just in the "happy customer" cue, because again today, all these sweet customers...

lol, maybe it comes off a little corny at times... today as one customer was hanging up the phone I could hear her say "OH MY GO... click" And here I thought the call went well and I had been so helpful ðŸ¤

Well, if you are already in a call center environment and actually like it then the call center in Albuquerque should be to your liking. They are always hiring it seems. Go for it!
