Any word on Treo Pro on Verizon?
Evidently Sprint is yet again getting another WM Palm Treo, the Pro, while Verizon hasn't even gotten the 800w Sprint got months ago.
Does anyone know for sure if Verizon is getting the Treo Pro since now we know there is a CDMA version that Sprint is getting?
If so, time frame? Days? Weeks? Months? Never?

Palm and verizon have a strained relationship as evident by sprint getting the centro, 755p, 800w and now treo pro before verizon.
Oh, and dont forget about the Palm Pre which may not see the light of day on verizon till 2010 if at all.

Verizon Wireless has passed on both the 8oow and the pro. The pre is "Exclusive" to Sprint so we won't see that for at least 18 months. The fact is that Verizon Wireless and Palmone aren't on good terms currently. Palmone has accused Verizon Wireless of being to demanding when it comes to phone preduction and Verizon has accused Palmone of making substandard products. The way I see it is that Verizon Wireless is asking Palmone for something on top of what they are already producing, something more than other carriers are happy with and Palmone wants to beable to standardize production accross the board. The opposing stances are detrimental to the process so the relationship has deteriorated to a point of stalemate.

I think you are right but I think the reason is because the 700w sucked, and the 700wx "fix" sucked... vzw is sick of seeing all these phones back in the stores and returned. And the centro is nothing to brag about... SO I think verizon is just saying "make something that works well and has cometitive features or dont waste your time. Harsh I know but more than likeley true

They bleed customers left and right. For every customer they attract with their Treos, they lose 10 customers to Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and even Tracfone!
