First week with Verizon.

Verizon Wireless 2009

So far I am well pleased. My calls are clear, the coverage is great, except on certain parts of campus (where I had good coverage with AT&T) but I am wondering if I call Verizon and tell them we could use a tower in the middle of campus if they would consider it.

Now about the PN 820 phone:

I know many of you said this phone is awful but you know, I really like it. My biggest complaint was the thin battery it drained so fast. But I just got my extended battery in the mail and wow that sucker lasts!!!

The phone did not come with Mobile AIM, but I downloaded it to my PC and synced my phone to my PC and just copied and pasted the application to my phone, which is so cool!

I really love how good the screen is, the colors are excel...

I've watched you go from AT&T to VZW over the last few weeks.

Try filling out the survey at verizonwirelesssurvey.com. Verizon subscribed to the Net Promoter Score (NPS) philosophy in the last year, and this actually goes a long way toward improving service or coverage. If it lets you take it, simply state that extra coverage is needed in that location.

Alternately, you can file a complaint with customer care. Some of the newer people might not know how to do it, but it's possible. I wish they had something that worked so directly in the retail stores. When I worked retail I had made friends with the local network technician in our area, and would let him know about coverage issues when I ran into them. He'd pass it on to the rig...

i hate it when people say "go complain to customer service." NO WONDER WE GET SO MANY ANGRY CUSTOMERS. dang man.

anyway, go to: http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/realestate /index.jsp

if you want to add a tower to your area. you have to qualify for it and they will never call you if they're not going to add anything, only if you do. so don't expect a call back letting you know if they were able to do it or not bec you'll be waiting forever.

that is if he has realestate for a tower. customer service can put in a service request for an area with bad reception...

I DID say to do the VZW online survey FIRST. It needed little explanation, so I didn't spend much time on it.

You're upset that I mentioned calling customer care. I spent more time talking about that because it needed more explanation. I can only assume you picked up on this because it was a longer and more involved paragraph.

I get to hear about $7 phone calls to customer care almost daily, so I know all too well how much customer care would prefer taking less phone calls. But customer care reps who don't spend much time in a retail store really don't understand that retail stores do not have the same resources and tools at their disposal. One of those tools concerns getting coverage feedback to network technicians. They don't...

sorry, i did read that wrong. file a complaint as opposed to complain. yea, we would pretty much call tech support and they could check out the area/tticket. no biggie.

This is very helpful and I'll take your advice. I deleted AIM, it eats up RAM anyways, and the extended battery is working well!
