More Information regarding my termination from VZW

This just in..

Recieved a call from my ex-supervisor today, regarding my termination.

Seems now Corporate Security had to change around thier story. The NEW reason as to why I was terminated has to deal with me representing myself as a Verizon Wireless Employee on here, and giving out the information on the phones, Which they now say was public information, and because I was posting to the forum during company time (which by the way I was told was ok as long as it did not interfere with my taking calls).
Seems as though Verizon Wireless will make up any story as long as it make them in the right and protects their ass.

well big poppa. it seems you have a very big mouth and that is what got you into trouble. verizon was correct in terminating you. you may have had a good case in a law suit against verizon but you came on the forum and blabbed and blabbed and cried about losing your job when you were completely wrong in using the companies computer during working hours. a smart man would have shut up, contacted a good attorney and then you may have had a case. now the whole world knows and verizon will win. hope this incident taught you a lesson.

telling the world about his troubles and telling the world was his downfall and seems to be his trend in life. duh! since when was corporate america lenient about computer use. even if a supervisor said it was ok, does that mean the corporate "suits" say it is ok. how many have lost their jobs in corporations for sending the "ONE" innocent email? if they want to get rid of you they will. we do not know the entire story and one side does not make history. he just may have been a real dodo and they used this as an excuse. for whatever reason, verizon is no different than any other company.

just because the corporate suits may not like that he transmitted PUBLIC company information over the internet does not mean it was right to fire him. maybe he should have used a little better judgment than sending emails from work, but it should not be a terminating offense. if he did the same thing but instead worked for the government, firing him would be a first amendment violation because the information he disclosed was already public. and just because other people lost their jobs for one innocent email in corporate america doesn't mean that this guy should lose his job, nor that any of them should've lost their jobs. not only was the internet posing innocent, it disclosed what was already made known to the public. no trade secre...

DUH!!!! has anyone considered that they did not like this guy and found a LEGAL way to get rid of him? WE DO NOT KNOW THE COMPLETE STORY. WE ONLY HAVE HEARD his VERSION. For all we know he may have stolen something, broken company policy, or a number of reasons. maybe he "hit" on the bosses mistress or she hit on him. WE HAVE ONLY BEEN TOLD WHAT he WANTED US TO HEAR. there are always 2 sides and maybe even more sides to this story. AH THE INTERNET. how do you spell GULLIBLE???????? i am not saying that big poppa did anything wrong, but do we know this guy other than his forum posts? NO........maybe he never even worked for veriZon.

Actually JPG, I was liked very much by the everyone that knew me there. I also did my job right and always got high marks fro quality. They actually lost a GOOD employee, That another company will get.. And now they will also have to spend MORE money to hire someone else to replace me, and put them through training and the whole 9 yards.. I have no need to lie about my situation... And if you don't think I ever worked for Verizon, I do have the number available to verify my employment..

Just remember I'm not here to impress you.. my whole reason for posting the information is becuz a few people I believe were interested to find out the results after I told everyone I had been fired and would no longer be able to help out as much and get t...

big papa, Get the terms and conditions of your employment with Verizon Wireless. Thye one that you actuially signed. Get a copy of the page you signed with whatever revision number on it.

Go back and find every post you did wile on the clock, or using verizon wireless reasources.

Now if every post you ever posted on here was in the best intrest of verizon wireless,either by using your customer retention skils tought to you by verizon wireless, Or for the general knowledge and education of Verizon Wireless customers or potential customers,where you had no gain in the situation. The terms of your termination from Verizon Wireless might be revued by a lawyer.

I am not worried about getting my lawyer or even trying to sue them. I'm getting what I want from them so I'm not worried anymore.. I'm still getting paid for my unused vacation time, and still will be receiving my big short term incentive bonus...

All in all I am almost glad I'm out of there. the particular job we did was pretty boring. I would liked working in the port center more and doing customer service than do be sitting there calling people and doing "Welcome Calls" over and over again., going through the same script over and over again.

HR said as long as I was employed till Dec. 31st I will still get it... Trust me I made sure of all this when they called.

I am not saying anything bad about you Big Poppa, but if you signed any thing from VZW that said thiat your employment was "at will" that means you can be terminated at any time for any reason. I know that in my previous job everyone who worked under me was "at will" and that made it easy to get rid of people who felt needed to be gotten rid of.

Yeah.. You can be "Laid Off" without reason, but you can only be "Fired" or "Terminated" with reason... Be Let go through no fault of your own will allow you to file for unemployment. being fired because they say you did something against the rules will make you ineligable for unemployment benefits.

See, don't post on here during company time if its against the rules then. 🙂 Sorry to hear you got fired, but if alot of reps here don't get their act together, alot more terminations could come about, not just from VZW people either.

If you are going to talk to your lawyer, I would stop talking about it on this forum. Duh, didn't that get you in trouble already.

Key word would be "private," hopefully your lawyer as a dictionary.

Dude, I don't plan on sueing them.. sheeese. Even if they are in the wrong, they have teams of lawyers and would still win no matter what.. I'm not going to even try and waste thousand of dollars on a $12.50 an hour job.

Just for the record I never said anything about a law suit. I kinda ran out of thoughts and I thought that I got one in their. I erased the part about being able to get your job back.
Oh well good luck in whatever you do, and try to post things on your off time. I check these forums at home.
