The truth about rollover (hopefully this will end all discussion)

A lot of VZW people say rollover is a marketing ploy that isn't really benificial and usually counteract it by saying that "the reason why you are rolling over minutes is because you are on the wrong plan. With VZW, we tell you when you are about to go over so you can essentially be on the right plan all the time instead of ATT and their rollover." I understand that arguement. However, that arguement is invalid now because AT&T and VZW have identical plans. Whatever plan you will have on AT&T, you will probably select the same plan on VZW.

Regardless of what plan you are on, you will always have residual minutes at the end of the month. I personally have about 100-200 minutes left at the end of each month on average. We all know its...

Although that was a factor when I was making my sales pitch during my tenure at VZW, you must sell the upside about VZW. The amount VZW invests in the network, how CDMA is better than GSM, the churn, how VZW has the highest score for customer satisfaction in the industry, etc. You're in sales for crying out loud.

When I was working at Sprint, I convinced this rich couple to break their contract with VZW and do a family share plan with 3 lines with 3000 minutes. You're a salesman, do your job.

Then as a sales person, you should pitch to them why VZW phones are better ... the testing it goes through, our in-store warranty process, etc. I used to get customers like that but I always flip the switch on them and convince them otherwise that the network is more important than the phones.

I'm sure TMart would be thrilled that you've been posting disparaging remarks on here while on the company dime.

No....he's a good sales person.

You and the rest of the clowns that work in your store should try stepping your game up instead of whining. And if things are so bad, then go work for ATT.

Yep you need a sales pitch to overcome the common sense of getting a year to use what you just paid for.

NO one care how much a carrier invests in the network. No one cares about churn (thats a...

The truth about rollover is that on att you have to be able to make a call to use your minutes. Of course there are rollover minutes when you can't make calls to use your minutes 😉

I know you lose your rollover minutes when you change plans.... But you can keep the amount equal to the plan you are switching to. For example, a person has 2000 min built up and switches to the 450min plan, they keep only 450.

Not if they don't provide service where you need it....... 🙄 Besides that's one aspect of it. Sprint also has the same plans, but they give away nights at SEVEN... att charges extra, vzw doesn't offer it, so that must make them a better company, huh? By your logic (or lack thereof) yes. But they aren't. The carrier that fits your coverage needs and budget is the best carrier you.
