Does anyone in here work for Telesales?

I called in yesterday inquiring about service. Every time I asked a simple question if the representative didn't know the answer the representative would hang up on me. This happened three times. Once when I asked if the $4.99 Total Equipment Protection covered smartphones, again when I asked if call forwarding was included free in all plans, and yet another time when I asked if the Unlimited plan could be used with smart phones.

What is the deal? Is the telesales department not allowed to answer questions unless you run a credit check or something? I just don't understand how when faced with possibly earning three lines of service you would hang up when you don't know an answer to a question instead of trying to figure it out.

No I don't work in telesales and as to why they can't answer simple questions...who knows. To answer your questions:

Total Equipment Coverage (insurance + extended warranty) is $5.99/month ($50 deductible for insurance claim (from Asurion)) and is availble to ALL phones, smart phones, blackberries and air cards.
--note: just insurance is $4.99 no extended warranty.

Call Forwarding is a basic feature that is included in every and all calling plans.

Unlimited plans are available for all voice devices...however, with a smart phone you will be required to have a data plan IF you wish not to be charges per megabyte...$44.99 is the unlimited data feature to add on, so you're looking at roughly $151 before taxes for unlimited voice, PDA ...

Blackberry data can be $29.99 for unlimited data if you're not using global or an enterprise server.

That being said, do not get a blackberry if you do not have an enterprise server at work (too expensive to be a personal option) and do not have a computer to sync it with and if you are unwilling to sync it regularly. Be honest with yourself on this point. If you do not back up your smartphone you will eventually regret it, trust me on this.

That is not them hanging up on you, that is your other carrier's network dropping your call.

Uhm... So you are telling me one of two things:
1. Verizon Wireless is so Godlike that their wireless service even trumps landline quality in all areas of the United States.
OR
2. You are a f**king idiot. You and the three idiots from Telesales just lost a new account.

No wonder Verizon has stagnated at #2 for so long. You get people wanting to bail on their existing carriers to come to Verizon and you VZW morons tell us to go suck ourselves off and fill us full of fanciful BS about how the Verizon Wireless network will change your life, get your sister of drugs, and cure your dog's cancer.

Wake up! VZW is the only company that treats secondary lines as second rate customers (never approving them for full new customer discounts on...

Um, hello? It was a joke. I'm very sorry telesales didn't give you the experience we would have expected. At first I thought, wow, what are the odds of so many problem reps, but after seeing that rant I have to wonder if hanging up was unwarrented. VZW employees will not tolerate abusive callers. I don't know the rules for telesales, but customer care is told to transfer - with or without permission - if someone starts going off like that. I seriously hope that I'm misreading what happened on those calls. If not, perhaps you'd be happier with Sprint. Desparation encourages acceptance of unacceptable behavior.
