HELL yes it is stupid to use your promotional upgrade or ne2 on a env! yuk! if you didn't not like the voyager, you will hate the env just the same. wait for the touch or curve, at least you will not want to put a fork in your eye looking at that dreadful ui!

dread·ful (drdfl)
adj.
1. Inspiring dread; terrible.
2. Extremely unpleasant; distasteful or shocking

The curve is suppose to launch approximately around March April, so soon. I would pass on the venus it's basically a chocolate with touch screen, it ain't that great! Hang tight for the BB Curve!

The sprint version will have PTT!! 🤤

UI
(User Interface)

The technical features of a device that the user interacts with directly.

Broadly, this can include hardware such as the display, buttons, other controls, and mechanical features.

More commonly, the UI refers to the software-controlled visual elements displayed on the screen that allow the user to interact with the device. This includes menus, icons, text entry boxes, etc.

Some UIs are easier to use than others (more user-friendly), and some are more customizable than others.

A standardized, consistent UI is a key component of major smartphone platforms such as Windows Mobile...

Don't listen to the sprint troll named brown27.

The env is a very good phone. I used one as my primary for over a year and it was still in fantastic condition when I sold it on ebay.

If you're heavily into texing get the evn, but if those were my only two choices I would get the Venus, smaller and cooler looking then the env.

The 1 year pricing is usually $50 to $70 more then the 2 year pricing, so it will be around $250 to $270. If it is $270, I would almost consider getting it without a contract, which is $369.

So with thouse figures, you might as well do a 2 year contract. It is $200 with 2 year contract, and if you end early, you will pay $175 or less for the ETF. It would be a $6 gamble. And you do have 30 days to test drive the phone, if you dont like it, you can return it and go back to where you are now on your contract.

I think its one of the BEST for voice calling. I have the enV and its very clear. I also have a motorola which sounds less then decent. I also have tried some sammy's and they are decent.

i have the new chocolat 8550 BLUE I like it i used the venus and didn't like the delays on the touch screen vs the actual screen. the chocolate had that at first as well, but when i changed the menu structure that went away. Touch screen is not for me i'm not a fan of the voyager either. and the env i've heard to be a very good phone from a few friends and coworkers of mine. but it's a little to bulky for me. if you want a full keyboard maybe look into the Samsung U740, it's about the size of a RAZR.

Good luck

I say get the ENV it's the HIGHEST rated phone on phonescoop. I have personally used it for over a year & I love it! Its got the best battery life I have EVER had on a phone. I do about 2k+ texts and couldn't be happier with a phone. I have a rizr z6tv as my demo line its a DECENT motorola but if you do ANY texts a month its so worth it to have the enV! BUT if you decided to do music just keep in mind the enV will only do 2gb worth the Venus is 8gb! Hope that helps sunny...

Its been pretty good so far the reception is on par with the enV. The ringer volume is stronger/louder then the enV. The only problem is it reset on me 3 times in less then a week.

I've always had that problem with the Motorola phones I've owned (V260/V276/E815). It's one reason that I shy away from them. I'm curious about the RIZR though because I haven't heard much about them, positive or negative.

I don't use iTap or Word or T9 anyway. I would be more concerned about the keypad itself, but that's something I would just need to look at in the store.
