i'm trying to decide between two lg phones, the vx-4400b, and the vx-4500 which is supposed to be released at the end of the month. my main goal is to have a phone and service with clarity and quality. i like gadgets and features, but i don't particularly want a camera phone. the main difference i see between these two phones is the 4500 has a speaker-phone, and the 4400 is tri-mode. i live and spend most of my time in new york metro area, but i do some traveling to secluded parts of new england in the summers. how important is it to have tri-mode? and does anyone have any other suggestions on which phone i should get? i'm switching from sprint to verizon.

If the speaker phone is not important to you then I would go with the vx-4400. Soon the network will be all digital anyway so having a tri mode eventually wont matter. Might as well go with the model that has had all the kinks and majority of its software issues worked out rather than go through that headache!!!
