Nice! Churn's still rock-solid and industry-leading (some haters were predicting it would rise a bunch... so sorry ๐Ÿ˜› ), and VZW beat ATT in postpaid net adds, 1.6 million to 1.17 million, though ATT did have a monster quarter in prepaid.

I guess VZW took the steak while ATT took the hamburger. ๐Ÿ˜

VZW also beat ATT in ARPU. Revenue was a push, with both carriers at $11.4 billion.

I was laughing at the thought of putting on a suit to sell a cellphone ๐Ÿ˜ And this one particular guy who works at the full service store who came to mind.
Now I'm not saying we should look unprofessional at all but wearing a suit to sell you a cell phone is overkill

yep. Im a store manager and sometimes I'll wear a suit because its more professional. normal employees are required to wear a shirt and tie.

wow it just amazes me how many people buy into their stupid commercials, i hate verizon they have the worst phones out of any carrier..that ui is enough to make you want to run..but people are just that stupid to keep signing up with them..want a ring tone, that's 3 bucks!! or you got these losers over on hofo who spend countless hours hacking their phones, just so they do not have to look at that commie ui, it's ridiculous. just switch to carrier that doesn't jack up their phones, tmobile, att, sprint. want vcast with no content for 15 bucks, and can't do anything with it lol boring..verizon should be called It's the most boring network in America! now what is even more funny is they dropped there data plans down to 30 bucks and that doesnt...

Reading posts like yours gives me a chuckle. Basically, if you break it down, what people want IS a reliable network.

Yeah, some people want bells and whistles on their handset, but if I'm broken down on the side of the road in a snowstorm, the last thing I'm concerned with is the fact that I could bluetooth that 50 Cent ringtone from my friends without having to pay any royalties for it.

So, just keep on hating. My phone is a phone, not a toy.

It has to do with failure in brain development.

You really have to love their arguments though, they honestly think the most important part of a mobile phone is that the user interface not work like the last phone they had... Quality of service, not important, just beaming files over bluetooth and having a UI that wasnt the same as their last phone.. makes perfect sense!

Well I guess Verizon Wireless has an awesome business model with a great Executive team. Isn't that any for-profit organization wants? They must be doing something right? Hows Sprint and AT&T's Rate of Return?

These are very solid results. Plus, there are still opportunity. VZW must continue to improve customer service, which will keep churn low and lower it even further. We also need to keep aggressively releasing new handsets with exciting features.

Yeah and maybe when you release these nifty handsets... you might want to order enough in advance to keep up with customer demand so your bleeping employees aren't having to wait 3 bleeping months AFTER it's release to the public to bleeping buy one!

I swear marketing and sales take moronic to new heights.

Moving along .... Excellent results for this quarter especially with AT&T pushing the Iphone as hard as they are. Both companies had excellent quarters. Congratulations.

No what i'm saying is i would rather sales and marketing use thier brains and plan ahead. Marketing knew for a fact we would have this phone .. The phones go thru a lengthy testing pase to ensure the software is good.

It wouldn't hve been too hard to have had LG building out the hard ware to load te software on after it was passed.

For that matter the voyager was a knee jerk reaction to the I phone. And the I phone was being hyped by jobs for months before it was released. Marketing didn't really seem to be doing much of anythin till after the I phone released and they saw what i hit it was.

For that matter VZW was offered the phone first... marketing should hve been lining something up when those talks with apple fell thru. Inst...

Yeah, I was pretty shocked myself when I found out that 1.5 mil of their 2.67 million net adds were prepaid. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

You'd think with the iPhone they'd have a better quarter in postpaid than they did.

I always used to think that ATT was trying to do a land grab against Verizon in customers before the US market became saturated. Now I realize that their land grab was actually against Virgin and Boost, lol. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ
