What is Verizon's best clamshell phone?

Must haves are:

* Strong signal
* Easy texting
* Average to above average battery life, I don't want to charge the phone more than once a week.
* Music ringtones that can be transfered from my PC to the phone (I do not want to download or buy them)
* Bluetooth

Would be nice to have an included data cable and PC software

Your real world feedback is much appreciated.

None are going to fit your every need, your not going to be able to transfer your ringtones from your computer without some serious hacking via Bitpm

You can't be serious about expecting to charge your battery once a week? Especially if your going to be using the Bluetooth feature, you will be charging it every two days at least. I have an extended battery and I use my Bluetooth daily and need to charge it every other day.

OK people, but ANSWER HIS QUESTION.
Why post replies complaining about one requirement being a little off?

It's okay, I am coming from GSM world where batteries last longer than in CDMA world, so whichever gets the best battery life, let me know.

I don't use bluetooth that much, but it is nice to have as a backup data connection or for my ear piece.

will54880,

I am looking for a good basic flip phone as well. The ones I have narrowed it down to are the Motorola W385 and the LG vx-5400. I would stay away from Samsung as there have been a lot of issues with sound quality. The Moto W385 has had the external smartkeys disabled by the Verizon crippleware so you cannot change the ring styles with the phone closed. At least on the LG you can toggle from ring to vibrate just by holding down the * or the # key, on the Moto you have to push the volume rocker buttons up or down repeatedly (VERY STUPID design) with the flip open in order to toggle from ring to vibrate, or vice versa.

I am leaning towards the LG because there have been numerous complaints with short battery time on the W38...

If you not interested in music feauture, the
one I like the best is LG-VX5400, or Motorola
W385. Also the LG phone is still tri-mode.
Have both phones and like them alot.

I would suggest the lg 8350 if you are looking for a clamshell, red one is pretty slick. It has good signal, good battery life, and is a well rounded media phone so you will have access to a memory card port for removing pictures and loading music and what not. It also has stereo sound with dual speakers on the back ...
