what is Verizon going to do if 45% of its capital is gone if vodaphone dumps Verizon and buys out AWS..that'll suck especially w/ the INT roaming agreements that Verizon has because of Vodaphone. 😳

I wouldn't lose any sleep over this issue. There have been rumors about Vodaphone pulling out of Verizon for well over a year - and nothing has been close to happening yet. I think that they realize that the bad press that they would get would be very bad.

you might also consider this a VZW advantage..consider that Vodafone does aquire AWS but doesn't "dump" VZW instead partnering to offer a better comprehensive package of service including international coverage that VZW doesn't competitively offer right now? Could make alot of different business cases for the advantages and disadvantages...

Actually if Vodaphone does take over AWS they plan on selling their share of Verizon back to the company. The only reason why Vodaphone even wants to buy AWS is so that they can have GSM coverage here for their European customers instead of having them "roam" when they are here.
