new agent lines!

wow so my account manager just sent this to me in an email for the new agent line pricing, she said it's a better deal than what even vzw employees get:

$10 monthly access for 1500 minutes
unlimited nights & weekends, unlimited in, unlimited text messaging, 300 pix included, 50% get it now application discount, vcast $7.50, rbt zero monthly access, $0.99 per rbt, bba $40, $29.99 for all pda/bb data plans, $0.99/mb instead of $1.99. the only thing that stinks is that you many only have one line per employee...but hey it sounds like a great deal to me! i'm curious to see what vzw employees get, anyone want to share?

isn't it amazing? i'm very surprised by verizon...especially within the past month they are making some very progressive changes, specifically concerning several areas that i disliked (like any app, any device, etc.) let us just hope the upward momentum continues!

Amen to that brother!! I have been an indirect for over a year now (15months) and am tired of paying $80+ a month without ANY type of discounts on monthly plans. I used to loathe the customers who would come in (home depot, walmart, other retail stores) who would come in and be like I get x amount of percentage off my monthly service, and then they would say "I bet you guys get killer deals on your plans"... Needless to say I wanted to strangle them!

well considering i've revealed "proprietary and confidential information" i could lose my job among other things, it's really just better to be anonymous, besides i know for a fact that several people from my company check this forum to see if any of their employees are posting on it, we just recently had phonescoop blocked by our sonicwall and i'm not really sure why it matters what company i work for.

Well first off I believe this is for WEST AREA indirects so if your not in the west tough luck...
But if you are in the west its in infocenter under programs then Agent Employee Demo Line Program QRG! Ok have fun bye bye now!

It is not just for the West area we have it for the Midwest area. If you go under the programs tab it should be the first link under Agent Employee Demo Program, it is the Agent Employee Plan ORG. FYI you must have 85% of you online training completed and a few (about 10) specific trainings completed before you can even go onto the plans. Also you will no longer have upgrades available to you since it is only $10.

But, really isn't it still a savings in comparison? Even if you have to pay full retail price on the phone.

If you stayed on a traditional single line plan, lets say the minimal NW 450 anytime plan with no extras.

$40 a month * 20 mos. (standard time till upgrade) = $800

$10 a month * 20 mos. = $200

A $600 difference over the course of 20 months, and unless you are gunning for a high end phone the savings are even higher.

Example: Let's say you want the Venus, take the $400 retail price of the Venus off that $600 and you still end up $200 in savings over a traditional plan and the higher your plan the better your savings. On a comparable single line plan, it is well worth it even though you don't get upgrades.

That must suck to have to do 85% training before you can go on because I have NEVER done one training module and just got hooked up!

Dec 7, 2007, 7:39 PM
Lucky you! I think the 85% requirement might just be something that our account manager is doing but there are like ten trainings that you should have had to do first it says it on the QRG. I'm kinda surprised that you haven't ever done any training it's a requirement for Premium Retailers and I know when we were an Authorized Retailer it was also required.

Nah we get the same deal and discounts, only that we get up to 4 lines per family share 😳

The primary gets FREE unlimited texting to anyone and for only $5 we can have the same text package for our secondary.

You have it good, but we still have a little bit more of an edge. 🙂

Just a quick tip though: RINGTONE downloads are NOT charged as Get It Now! Your ringtones will be charged full price, not 50% off. I can't remember what it bills as (premium text message or something like that) but be warned: ringtones are full price.

I know this because I went crazy with my ringtone downloads assuming that they were half off. Flash forward to a $200 phone bill! The employee services people wouldn't give me a credit because as an employee I am responsible for knowing what I will or will not be billed for since I have access to the actual M & P's.

Guess what? The M & P's ended up stating that ringtones are full price once I actually looked it up. I'm supposed to know that be...

Just to clarify, when you download a ringtone someway other than through the GIN menu on the phone it would be full price. If you purchase your ringtones through the GIN application of your phone it will be 50% off the regular price.

Games are half price though. You can trust that.

Recap: ANY ringtones downloaded through any part of the GIN application will bill in full. Games will bill 50% off. Ringback tones will be charged in full as well.

These agent lines are also available for Midwest employees. Got my line hooked up just after Thanksgiving, and for 10 bucks a month I can't beat it. 🤣

Still not giving up my own AT&T though 😉 , but for 10 bucks a month I will take it.

Lucky for me, we operate a trade in program and I didn't have to pay much for my phone. Cheap (but great) service, unlimited texting, 300 pix messages, and some $7.50 V-cast for unlimited Mobile web...about time some of us indirects got some love!

VZW Employees get 40% off of their bills with unlimited txt and pix on the primary line and MW (with the old AC plans). VCast is 50% off along with those GIN downloads.

In addition to that, VZW retail employees get concession lines, which is the equivalent to your agent lines. Except employees don't have to pay anything for the base plan which is unlimited txt (I think) and 1500 minutes while you guys have to pay $10/mo.

We currently can have 4 lines soon to be 5 to your only having one line on the agent program. So when all the pennies are counted I guess we actually come out ahead. So I can't complain

HI Guys,
Sorry to bring back this topic. I just signed up for this plan. $10 monthly access for 1500 minutes. When i signed up for it I had to sign up with no contract. My question is can I upgrade my equipment on this plan and get a 1 or 2 year contract to get a discount on a phones In my verizon site it shows, Im eligable for an upgrade.

Thanks

Been on the employee plan for about a year now. No, you CANNOT upgrade, even though the website likes to tell you that you can. You'll have to pay retail for a new phone. You can't take an upgrade discount because VZW will not allow these lines to be in contract.
