New Every 2 Question...Will one of you employees help me out

Thanks in advance by the way.

I've read in two places so far that the new every 2 credit is only 50 on plans btwn 34 and 79. I'm positive though that when I signed up I was told that my new every two credit would be 100 dollars. So what is the case?

My plan is a little more than 50/month right now.I signed up in april 06 and apparently I'm up for new every two in december, which I need since my razr crapped out completely after lasting not much longer than a year.

If you signed up in '06 your NE2 is $100. After that it'll drop to $50 with an eligable upgrade in 20 months. the system changed this year around the time the Select Plan's came out.

What was the cut-off date for the $100 credit? If you have that credit, does that basically mean that you can get the Voyager for $200? ($300-$50 rebate -NE2=$200)?????? Thanks!

Assuming it's $349.99 2yr
$50 m.i.r. ($299.99)
$100 NE2 ($199.99)

D#%m, they need to drop the price on the Razr2 then.

The current New Every Two(NE2) which started in Feb 06 is the tiered system where it is $50 if you have a plan under 79.99 in the last three months before you upgrade and $100 if your plan is $79.99 or over for the last three months before you upgrade. If the last time you got a new phone at a discount was with a 2yr agreement and was before Feb of 06, you get $100 on the upgrade.

So in your case if someone told you that you would get $100 off that is because the rep was quoting the old policy out of habit. We were suppose to have an update to fix our system to show if the customer would be getting the $100 or $50, but it isnt in place so it is up to the rep to remember for people asking about upgrades that are still months away that they...

It also depends on if you've changed your plan. If you changed your plan from the original with the $100 NE2 after the tiered NE2 was introduced, then the new plan is part of the tiered NE2 promotion and that would have been communicated in the confirmation letter for the plan change.

that's why VZW sends confirmation letters and you have 30 days to change back.

2/5/06 was the cut off for still getting old 100.00 credit. so you only qualify for the 50.00 credit, unless you raise your plan to the 80.00 or more for 3 months before upgrade date.then you can get the 100.00 off credit. but...

If your phone died and you didn't break it, I'd think the local store may just give you a refurbished unit. I like the new V3m software, and don't see any new phone I'd prefer over it.
