Verizon - Windows Mobile Help

TP17

I just gave up my BB for a Windows based phone on Cingular. I live in the Connecticut area, and the reception in NYC and the metro area is terrible.

I am looking to go back to Verizon, and need a windows based phone. My employer is forcing me to windows. I personally don't like it, it's like having a desktop system on your phone, with start, programs, etc, etc. I think the windows operating system is years behind the BB in terms of ease of use.

Anyway, I would like your advise as to what the best is on Verizon with Windows, or, if you know of any news models coming soon.

Thanks in advance,
Tom

Well I have the Utstarcom XV 6700 pocket pc. It is in my opinion as a sales rep one of the best windows based phones. It is very easy to use and has lots of features. But here in the near future there is an upgrade to this coming out called the XV 6800. Since the 6700 has been out forever you might wait a few til the 6800 comes out. I am getting one as soon as it comes out myself. But the Treo 700 is windows based also and so is the newer PN820 from pantech. So its all about preference on size of screen and buttons. But I know the 6700 is a good phone and I expect better for the 6800.

TREO 700wx is good. My 700w was problematic, but it seems the extra memory on the 700wx has fixed most of the ills. If I had to do it again I would go Blackberry though...too bad that is not an option for you.

Thanks for the feedback. The XV8600 looks great. I wonder when it will hit the streets.

if you can still find one.

I have it and it's the best Verizon PDA ever made.
