Helio or Tilt or ???

I need a cell phone first and foremost. Some days it will get used a lot, others not at all. But we can assume as much as 5 prime time hours some days.

I also need to be able to access hotmail and yahoo mail since my work firewall blocks it. I need to be able to play MP3s and instant messaging on yahoo and windows live is a plus.

Is the Helio the way to go for me?

If its messaging you want, then I suggest the Helio Ocean. It comes with MSN, Yahoo, and AIM out the box and ready for you. MP3 is also included. basically if thats all you need the Ocean has it and more.

Need a deal? email me.

It depends. First and foremost, check for coverage. Compare pricing, your travel coverage, roaming agreements, data charges, data caps, apps (Yahoo, AOL, etc.) mobile to mobile calling, company (employee) discounts, minute plans, OS, etc.
Find out what works for YOU.

Compare prices.

Helio does have great plans but the phones are costly.

With the basic helio all in plan you get 500 minutes for $65/month. And you get unlimited text data and all that jazz. The only EVDO provider that will succeed and pretty much kill the competition.

The Tilt with ATT

You get service with ATT/Cingular. Nothing really great about them. Roll over minutes. Data plans outrageously over priced. For the same price of around $150 to get a data plan and so forth you can get a Unlimited everything with Helio. But companies have pretty costly phones. Helio is pretty new. But then again they've been around longer than Cingular. SK Telecom does a great job in Korea.

But shop around. Do your research. A lot of people I'...

How do you get the only EvDO provider that will succeed? Especially when you mention the $65 500 plan. Helio is an MVNO of Sprint, plus Sprint does offer a $30.00 SERO 500 minute plan, unlimited nights and weekends, 7pm, unlimited text, WAP (no data cap), picture and video mail, Sprint TV and Music, NFL network, plus J2ME handsets. Just curious on why you stated the only successful EvDO carrier. Don't get me wrong Helio, is great, and have a handsome phone portfolio.

Will I say the only EvDO provider that will succeed cause Disney has failed and if I remember correctly something of Sprint's failed as well. It was either Sprint or ESPN. I think it was ESPN. Disney and ESPN has failed and right now Helio is the only EvDO that is standing it's ground. the SERO plan is great and all. But that's what Sprint is using to compete against Helio. I have nothing against Sprint. I just like Helio over Sprint.

Helio is probably the only MVNO, EvDO, provider that will succeed. Disney and Helio pay to use Sprint's network. ESPN use to be an MVNO of Sprint, now ESPN is an application on VZW's V-Cast.
SERO has been around longer than Helio (USA mobile).

Starting today Oct 18th for a limited time.

$99 Unlimited calling, texting and surfing plan is back.

The Ocean if you look hard enough can be bought with a contract at around $200 some places even less. The other Helio phones can be bought cheaper with a new contract.

These prices dont seem to be so expensive if you go feature vs feature with other phones.

AT the moment nothing beats this plan. Get it while its hot.

Is who's been around longer in the US a big factor? If you want to talk about who's been aroung longer. SK Telecom (Helio's Parent company) has been around longer than Sprint has. I'm saying it's more conveniant for some to get Helio. Sprint has been shown to have a bad reputation of raising plan rates without notice. Also they're pretty expensive at times too. Not trying to bash on them. If I did bash on a company I would bash them all.

I was talking about wireless companies in the USA. You stated Sprint is using SERO to compete with Helio. It's the other way around. SERO has been offered LONGER than Helio (USA) as a MVNO carrier of Sprint. As far as Helio standing it's grounds, GREAT. The grounds that Helio walks on is Sprint, and Sprint greatly appreciates Helio choosing Sprint as THEIR network. 😉
Sprint has a reputation of offering TOO MANY options for their customers. That is why Sprint gets a bad wrap. More options, more problems.

P.S. Sprint has been around longer than SK Telecom. Just a little FYI. Sprint est.1899 and SK Telecom est.1984 😎

Well, I had a chance to play with the Ocean and it is really a neat device. I thought Helio had the best inclusive plan until I discovered SERO. You can get 1250 anytime mins/unl night and wknds starting @ 7pm/unlimited text, pix and data for only 49.99/mo. You can't beat that. Sprint is now finally selling the phone I want online. The phone doesn't have EVDO but thats okay. Btw Im talking about the LG 260.
