They Went to 18 Month Contracts..

Ok, for the 'official' launch, they've now gone to 18 month contracts. Which is an improvemnt over the 2-year contracts they were askin' for before.

Still... Amp'd is aimed squarely at the 15-25 year old crowd. No 1-year contracts and no pre-paid, with THOSE demographics? I think they're gonna have a tough time wit' that. ☹️

Oh, an' the sucky 'no overage' mobile-to-mobile is still around. Amp'd don' seem to understand that that's too ghetto to have on anythin' 'cept prepaid or the $29.99 contracts. Guess they'll learn soon enough.

It ain't like true m2m would cost 'em much.. there aren't a lotta people on Amp'd yet, nor would I expect 'em to ever get very big. They might be Virgin Mobile-sized some day, if everything goes good.

Though I DO like their 99 cent over the air music downloads service. That is, if the mp3 capability ain't crippled, like it is with Verizon's VCast Music.
