Unlimited by Boost vs. Metropcs

Does anyone know how many subscribers Boost Mobile has picked up in the areas where they are in direct competition with Metopcs?

I dunno. But here in ATL we have both.

I have considered the jump, but I need the option to roam every once in a while, in which case my choice would be Boost...were it not for their lame phone selection.

I really like that Cricket offers 100 or 200 national roaming plans for an additional $5 to $10 per month. The FCC has said that the larger networks cannot discriminate against smaller carriers in roaming agreements (e.g. what Verizon offers Sprint, Verizon must also offer MetroPCS and Cricket), so I still don't know why MetroPCS charges it's customers $.49 and $.79 for roaming like it's 1990.

I really wish MetroPCS and Cricket would merge or one would buy the other, but that Cricket plans, phones, and customer service be the new s...

I live in south Florida, and Metropcs has been here for about 7 years. So they have a deep footprint in the area. I know from having both services that Boost Unlimited is clearly much better. Using Sprint's network, there's greater reception indoors and less chance of dropped calls. However, people I know are drawn to Metropcs because of the wide handset selection they offer. If Boost Unlimited sticks around a while, their reputation would have a chance to grow.
