Anyone have any ideas on how to drive in customers? I work at a really slow location out of Tulsa and im looking for a way to pump out some numbers here. Any ideas would be great! Thanks in advance!

And yes I know a already know 😉 "if only we had a better line up of phones."

Yeah, stop locking out features on phones in an attempt to force people to use EasyEdge data service. Don't claim that USCC doesn't use this scheme, cause I know for a fact they do lock out features people would like to use on their phones. I am a USCC customer (one of many who are pissed cause the features that are supposed to be on their phone has either been removed or locked out). People should have the right to transfer ringtones and images via USB cable and Bluetooth between their computor and their cellphone. I will never pay USCC to get my own home created ringtones or get pics from my camera phone.
I think this is a lame a$$ business practice and when USCC's customers start leaving for other cell providers cause their phones aren't...

How is locking features on phones going to reduce traffic into the store? These practices may drive some people out of the store once they come in, but honestly I don't think the majority of people care about this as much as you do. Even if you got everyone on Phone Scoop ranting right behind you in this thread, Phone Scoop users are definitely not representative of the population as a whole.

Lets see how many threads we find this same rant copied and pasted in, both on Phone Scoop and Howard Forums. We get it, you feel strongly about your "right to transfer ringtones and images via USB cable and Bluetooth." While you complain, other people are finding creative ways to do these things, and they still have the benefit of a great network.

yes, technical inability is the only barrier to his solution. but we need to let him cry it out or he will never heal emotionally.

I think you might be able to bring in more people with better renew deals, and better new customer deals. People like phones with features and/or that are really cool looking. On the other hand they don't want to have to pay $100 dollars and a two year contract to get a phone with all the features. You need to beat out the competition, but also still bring a profit. Try and balance.

one of the things that i did in my store was went around to all the local businesses and asked if i could put a flyer in the backroom and i also talked to the manager about his cellular service to see if i could help him out the thing that worked the best for me was putting flyers in the backroom so that the employees could see it

We just opened a new store about a year ago here in iowa, some of the things we tried were:

1. Pizza places are great, they will put your fliers on their pizza boxes maybe in exchange for posting their coupons in your store.

2. We went around in a couple mile radius and put up door hangers with coupons and offers so people in the area knew about the location and convenient of a location it is.

3. We put some US Cellular flags right up by the street. a lot of customers have come in and said they saw the flag but never noticed the store before since we are in a strip mall and kinda pushed back from the road.

Hope this helps.
