6100 Faceplate issue...
Well,
I bought a faceplate for my 6100 and I know that it wi9ll void the warranty. I'm not too worried about that, but here is the issue I have found and was wondering if anyone nows why this happens and if tehre is a solution.
When I install the new faceplate, the speaker for the speakerphone does not work very well. it is a lot quieter than with the original one on. I put the original one on and it worked fine. sounds to me like the original faceplate applies some amount of pressure to the speaker, which somehow makes it louder. Maybe rig some sort of ring around the speaker that will press down on the speaker with your new faceplate on there. Also, if you bring your faceplate to a corporate store, they can send the phone out to have the faceplate installed by an LG technician, and it will keep your warranty intact. Hope that helps.
really? I had no idea they could do this so the warranty would not be void. Is this for real? I never knew that. Good to know!!
