Deleting preloaded apps

I picked up a Samsung Acclaim after one was returned to our store. Since MyContactsBackup is preloaded to the phone, and it's copyrighted to the first number set up with the app, I am unable to download my contacts. Does anyone know how to delete a preloaded app so I can re-download it and get my contacts?

I asked my manager about this, we couldn't figure out how to do it ourselves. He has sent an email to our Android device team asking them.

In the mean time, one way we thought (but couldn't try on our demo phone) might work was if you go into a store you can ask a rep to call DTS to have the app forcefully re-pushed? I don't know if that would work though.
