Is US Cellular under another company or is it a stand alone company? If it is a stand alone then why don't they have the best phones like AT&T or Verizon?

Its a stand alone company and the only company that operates without a debt load.

Compare the lineups... with the exception of the Storm's the iPhone and the Droid the lineups are virtually identical.

Praytell, what makes ALL of their phones better than US Cellular?

The reason I asked is because my husband had read or heard that It is about time that USC got a touch screen phone considering they are a secondary company. And I was just wasn't sure about that. He wants to switch companies and I'm not for sure if I want to do that. Its the pros and cons of other companies and USC. Are they ever going to have 3g coverage?
I really appreciate your answers.
Thank you!

Hi Mouse... US Cellular has 5 different Touch screens including the newest HTC Touch Pro 2 with windows 6.5
The LG Tritan, The Samsung Caliber and Delve,

US Cellular also has 3G in most of its markets however there are a few that aren't yet but will be by early 2010.

I wont spread too many speculations but US Cellular is also ahead of many of the other company's in its 4G network.

What area do you live in if you don't mind me asking. OR US Cellular has a coverage map on their website that you can type in your address and get a good idea of what we have for service in your area.

US Cellular is a "second" company. They have been in the game since day one...

No I don't mind you asking. I live in SE Oklahoma. Sometimes when you are in a building you don't have any bars or talk with USC and people that have other carriers have bars or can talk. Its strange. But for me I love USC I really don't want to change so I am telling my husband I don't want to change companies.
Thank you!

Reception is also going to vary by phone manufacturer and model, and will be impacted by the building itself. Some buildings just have really awful reception (i.e. steel, thick concrete, etc). Motorola is your best bet for reception if that's a concern.
