The Motorola Barrage V860 just came up on the news page and Verizon (CDMA) is mentioned as getting it.
From the specs and pictures this sounds like the Quantico that we are supposed to get. Can anyone confirm that it is or not?

Not only that, it's got EVDO Rev. A. That's one thing Verizon requires in any PTT phone they carry since the Motorola Adventure (V750) & Casio G'Zone.

Now if USCC were to carry a phone like this, it would be a different model without PTT (if they discontinued PTT) & possibly no Rev A (can't speak on that one).

Most EVDO capable phones made are EVDO Rev 0. I haven't seen many phones out there that have Rev A yet. I'm not saying that Rev A capable phones won't be in demand, but I don't believe the typical phone needs that much speed. I would mainly seeing phones with html browsers needing Rev A.

ok i understand your logic now, i see and agree there isnt necessarly a need for revA on feature phones. I just see the carriers and manufactures to move away from rev0 to revA for economics of scale and uniformity not need for the consumers. Plus the number of feature phones comming with browsers especially on USCC is increasing greatly.
