LG Rumor powering down
Anybody out there having issues with their LG rumor powering down in the middle of a text or phone call? This has happened to me a lot, about 3 times a day. Is this a software glitch or phone problem. I have until 4/11 to decide if I want to keep the phone and I think about taking it back.

Exchange the phone if you can before your phone goes into a "Panic Mode". This is a known issue from LG. Panic Mode is when your phone power cycles and erases everything. Even your own number, where your unable to make calls.

YES I had the exact same problem, i exchanged 3 of the LG UX260's for this exact same pronlem you are reporting. When I spoke with us cellular they had no clue what i was talking about. They did however exchange the phones for me. I'am now on my 4th one and it just did it to me agin 2 minutes ago. I will now be forced to get rid of this phone and use something else as this is un-acceptable!!

USC is aware of the problem. It is a software issue. We are working on an update and trying to get it to the stores asap. I would say if you like the phone keep doing 15 day exchanges until the update is available. But its up to you! 😕

I took my rumor back. I actually left U.S. Cellular, unfortunately, because I had waited so long for a good messaging phone, and didn't want to pay the data fee for a Q or Blackberry. I switched to Virgin Mobile, and got the Wildcard, and I LOVE IT! Doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but plenty of them, and it's a great messaging phone. Monthly plans are very competitive as well. It will actually cost less that U.S., and I will get more messaging and web access.
I am disappointed about U.S. Cellular, however. I was a big fan. They just messed up with the LG 260. Easyedge wouldn't work either. Bummer.

i have this problem also and its making me mad also somtimes i hit the backspace and it deletes everything or wont let me type at all i took mine back and they gave me a new one but its doing the same thing idk if i should take it back again or not.

Gotta love US Cellular. The reason the company says it takes them so long to get new phones is their extensive testing process. Guess that is working real well for them......I feel bad for their customers who are having problems with the phone though.
