OK all you techs and salepeople from uscc can you please shed some light.

I think US Cell is the best service in my area
( Morgantown, West Virginia). I have been thru several other services and have had us cell for about 18 months now. I need a good PDA phone and I am going to have to revert to SPRINT. I wish I could stay with us cell due to coverage. Any way us cell is looking at any PDA /Smart phones? Yhe kyocera they presently cell has bad history so thats not an option
thanks 😢

A few weeks ago I spoke with our (USCC) inventory manager for the district and he told me that USCC would be testing several new PDA phones sometime around January with a possible release being March of '05. He wouldn't say which phones but the rumors I've been hearing are it could possibly be the Audiovox PPC-6600.

Yes, I am a retail wireless consultant out of the Oklahoma City market. Also I can add that USCC will shortly begin product testing a new "walkie-talkie" featured phone in the Milwaukee market. The new service will be called Push-2-Talk. As of yet I have been unable to learn the phone being tested but I have heard from several knowledgable colleagues around the country that USCC is taking a casual look at perhaps Sanyo or Samsung as new USA providers. Both of those companies are looking at producing a small number of CDMA compliant phones. Only time will tell.
