Metro phonebook retrieval problem

Metro phonebook retrieval problem:
My Metro phone was lost and later stolen by whomever and I would like to know how to retrieve my phonebook to my new phone from Metro. They tell me that I need to get a court order to get the phone numbers from my own account since I did not previously have their phone number restore account that would have cost me a dollar per month. This is insane since I had transferred numbers on two previous occasions and know that somewhere my numbers exist within the system. But why do I need a court order to get my own phone numbers restored after the fact (I didn’t pay them the dollar) or is this simply poppycock on Metro’s part saying that I do need a court order? I need my phone numbers and do not what...

Sorry for your loss but...
It's not Metro's fault you didn't buy their service. It's INSURANCE. Think about it...

$1/month.
When your house burns down you can't run to the insurance company and demand they cover your losses, despite your not paying your premium. Hmmm... Bet you'll pay that 4 pennies per day charge from here on out.
