I have been reading alot of reviews about Metro PCS and have been seeing people given wrong information about the company and the products so I am here to help you with all of your Metro PCS questions and concerns. I am an employee of Metro PCS's Corporate store so please feel free to ask.

Please only legitimate questions.

I have Metro PCS as my service and I have a problem with sending texts to AT&T phone users. I can send them texts and they will recieve it, but when they send me a text, it doesn't come through.
I wanted to know if anyone had this problem, or have experienced this, problem and if so, is there a solution that doesn't include changing services or contacting both services costomer care, because I've tried both.
Possible Metro Associate

You should be extremely careful about ANY information you are posting on a very public website when it has to do with confidential policies, procedures, products, etc.
If you are an employee I am sure you signed the confidentially agreement otherwise the "Insider Trading Policy/Law" is strictly enforced and taken very seriously.

Does any body know when would metro launch in NY market? I heard Mid Feb'09

Would it be covered all 5 boroughs from
day 1?

Oct 31, 2008, 5:42 PM
MetroPCS said in its offical quarter releases in the past; that its sometime in the 1st half of 2009.It could be any where between feb-Aug.

As for coverage in all 5 boroughs NO WAY, its going to be turn on in parts. Its going to have coverage in almost everywhere but alot of future expanison in red or orange on the coverage maps. Dont know how this will affect coverage but new york city is a huge market. It will take time. Metro has been building New York since late 2006. remember when sprint launched in ny in 1996. its gonna be something like that...

PossibleMetroAssociate sounds just like a typical Metro AzzWype reciting trade agreements, etc. This is a "FORUM" for knowledge sharing that apparently customers are NOT getting from MetroPCS. I don't think anybody is doing any Insider Trading (like metro really have something to trade). To be honest, it's good to have a REAL associate who can keep us up-to-date and informed because the web site sure doesn't -- and I signed up for updates back in 2007 and NEVER received a single notification. I'll close by saying, "Chill Out" and "Take it down a peg or two". We're customers with questions, not out to destroy the not-quite-grown-up company that Metro pretends to be. In fact, everybody knows the next biggest thing Metro will come out wit...

Feb 18, 2009, 11:39 PM
Actually you are violating non disclosure agreements you signed when hired by MetroPCS, They are a publicly traded company its not only against MetroPCS' policies but could be against the law depending on the information you give. You should not identify yourself as a Metro Employee when answering any questions. I understand you wanting to help people, but the internet is not somewhere you want to be posting information like this for the world to see. I should know I'm a former Best Buy employee because I released information such as this on this very forum.

Nov 2, 2008, 10:03 AM
Well I have asked this question a couple of times and gotten NO response so I'm trying again. I know we have alot of Metro employees and informed clientel, and I try to be as well, but I hope you can help. I dont really care about the confidentiality agreement since I'm NOT asking about any huge industry secrets.

One of the most consistent questions out there that I have read on this forum is "Any new Nokia's coming out?"
My question is anything AT ALL that is coming out in the near future (present to 6 months) will compare to the Nokia 6235i? I dont want an entry level or even mid level phone.
I have no problem paying the dollar amount, but I want quality.
All the features, quality, and services I have with the Nokia. It's on it's la...

Nov 2, 2008, 8:31 PM
Hi, I will like to ask you about working with MetroPCS corp store. how is your experience with them. and whats is the way to apply with them.

thank you much

Nov 3, 2008, 10:12 AM
can you use the verizon blackberry with metro? 😁 and if so where can i find it cheap?

Dec 13, 2008, 1:50 PM
I got a voicemail from MetroPCS telling me that MetroConnect funds would soon 15-DEC-08? no longer be useable for international calls. I've found the 2-cent/min calls to various place good enough that I've given up on the calling cards.

What's the story on this?

Dec 18, 2008, 10:12 PM
Metro switched over to calling cards instead of using the prepaid (Metroconnect)
The calling cards are offered in $5 & $10
The rates are exactly the same as before!

Jan 11, 2009, 12:27 AM
okay heres my question....

is it possible for me to take my sidekick ID to the metro pcs store and switch my razor phone to the sidekick ID?

am i able to switch my account from my razor to my sidekick?

Jan 11, 2009, 6:30 PM
The answer is No. A corporate Metro PCS store cannot flash a sidekick/smartphone/blackberry phone. Also too sidekicks use SIM cards and Metro PCS does not operate with SIM so unfortunately you can't use your sidekick.

Is there less Metro coverage on the phone that just have CDMA 850/1900 compared to those who has CDMA 850/ 1750 and 1900?

Is there any difference in the coverage?

Feb 25, 2009, 2:33 PM
Theirs a big difference in coverage. You will need the CDMA 850/1750,1900 also known as AWS or triband phones if you want you phone to work everywhere this includes New York, and all of the Northeast, Chicago and any future market MetroPCS opens in the future.

or you can get CDMA 850/1900 this also includes all flashed phones (sprint, verizon,Altel) and will work only in older markets like Georgia, Florida,Dallas, Northern and central CA only, and detriot plus any of crickets older markets.

Have a quick question about different markets. I live in Atlanta, GA and thinking about buying the Samsung Finesse. I currently have the Nokia 6265i and I travel to Las Vegas pretty often and it never works on the network without travel talk. Does anyone know if the Samsung Finesse will work without having to buy mins for travel talk? I see both phones are available in both markets which makes me think it would be compatiable. Nokia 6265i was never sold in Las Vegas that i'm aware of.

Apr 8, 2009, 3:32 PM
As far as I know it should work just fine in both markets. It's the phone I carry. Works great!

Apr 9, 2009, 3:40 PM
I know in las vegas my nokia 6265i only works with text unless i buy minutes.

Apr 9, 2009, 6:52 PM
Yeah i've had the same thing the last time I was in Vegas. I noticed on the website that they broken it down and that only Tri-band (AWS) phones work in Vegas. However, It does not list the Samsung Finesse as an AWS phone in the list on the coverage page. I can only assume it is since all the other phones on the Vegas phones page that are in Atlanta are all AWS phones. I guess I'll find out if they have the Samsung in stock next Friday when I go to get one.

Apr 15, 2009, 9:20 PM
What are the pros and the cons for the Samsung Finesse????

Apr 16, 2009, 10:21 AM
I plan to get one tomorrow as long as they have them in stock here in Atlanta. I'll let you know what I find as pros and cons for the phone.

Sep 11, 2009, 10:44 PM
i live in the miami area.. the Messenger II goes for about 150.$ Do you belive this is an introductury price and it would probably go up. just like the Kyocera melo and Nokia 1606 went up? 😁

Sep 17, 2009, 5:43 PM

i just recently bought a Kyocera Strobe k612 and i noticed on this website that it said this phone is discontinued. Will it still work for my plan??

Sep 18, 2009, 9:03 AM

I live in Miami FL and I have metropcs. I signed up for the new $30 plan
they have with basic voice mail, domestic and international text.

I wonder if I buy one of these flashed phones for MetroPCS on ebay or fleamarket from Verizon or Sprint that are already in Houdini can I keep my $30 plan ?

Dec 14, 2009, 12:58 PM
As far as I know there is nothing to prevent you from keeping your $30 plan. It's certainly a great plan.

Jan 9, 2010, 11:12 AM
yes you can only put from the 40$ and up , but there is a new plan m30 for new costumer that is avalaible for flashed phones...

Jan 4, 2010, 1:57 PM
what is the deal with the new M750 on the nlp list already? its only been out for a couple months.

Apr 17, 2010, 12:26 PM
I see a great deal of Metro customers porting over to Page Plus and that unlimited $39.95 plan. Why should I keep my service?

Apr 18, 2010, 4:09 PM
If it would save money and you wouldn't lose anything, why bother asking? Just to be assanine? Because you need someone else to make decisions for you?

Hi there MetroHelper...I need some help. I have a Samsung Code and by mistake I removed the @metro feature from my phone and now I can't find it. Any tips on how I can get it back? I need the apps that are there. Also, is there any way to reset the phone without it wiping the whole memory?

Thanks a bunch... πŸ™‚

Jun 13, 2010, 1:44 PM
There is no way to reset the phone without wiping everything out. If you have a memory card i suggest you go to content manager and move everything to the card. when you select all and go to copy/move make sure you switch it to MOVE so that you wont have two copies of everything. you can move downloaded apps by going through file manager. If you do not have metrobackup i suggest you go into a corporate store so that they can use a transfer machine to store the numbers.

There are two ways to master reset the phone
1) go through settings and reset phone. the pin will always be the last 4 digits of your phone number even if you have a personal password

2) turn the phone off. turn it on and when the samsung logo pops up press the top le...

I am in Seattle Washington, the only service available is in Spokane Washington or in Oregon. Is there going to be service here in Seattle?

There are some competitors offering unlimited service thru the verizon network but it has some draw backs...like no picture messaging and no phone internet.

I just recently moved to Washington from San Francisco.

Any help you can provide would be great.

Does MetroPCS allow customers to use their service without purchasing a phone from MetroPCS?

Nov 9, 2016, 3:14 PM
I just paid my bill and received my confirmation text. But then 2 hours later I received a text saying that my payment has been reversed from my account. what does that mean?

Oct 1, 2017, 10:49 AM
If you call someone that has MetroPCS cell phone and it rings once and you get a message sayng "The person you are trying to reach cannot take calls at this time. Sorry for any inconvenience" Does this mean my number is blocked from their phone?

Nov 25, 2017, 9:20 AM
Metro pcs is the worst place to go. I have had nothing but trouble with my phone and service. Today i accidentally busted the screen and even tho i have been paying insurance every month, I was told that in order to replace my phone i have to pay out of pocket to get it replaced. I can get a phone cheaper than what i would have to pay to get this one fixed. They are out of their minds and i will be reporting this to the BBB. and I don't even want to get started on how bad the service is. nor the fact that i'm supposed to get unlimited everything but i don't. I will never use metro pcs again once i can get something else. Straighttalk is better than this
