Push to talk on the kyocera k312 (black) will be available for sale tomorrow and service for chat link will be available on the 12th, there will be a $5 extra fee for the feature. it is not included in any plan as a bundle, only available for plans $35 and up. great feature, sounds great, heard it myself, if you were thinking about switching over to metro pcs and havent yet, now is a good time.

Push to talk is the walkie talk feature that nextel has. Yes, it is true that metroPCS is gonna provide that service and yes, it will work with other carriers.
As of right now only Dallas and Detroit has it but we (Floridians) will get it soon.
The phone that will start with that feature unfortunatelly will be the Kyocera K312 but in Black.
With this feature Metropcs will definatelly cut nextel's legs but here is my question:
The amount of customers that nextel has is the reason of their bad service. From what I heard it overloaded their capacity and merging with Sprint helped a little but not much. IS THE SAME THING GONNA HAPPEN WITH US?
As we can see metropcs has a very competitive leaders and their are showing all the ...

I'd be interested in this if the PTT worked with other carriers, especially with Nextel, however since NO other carrier's PTT feature works with other carriers as far as I know I highly doubt MetroPCS will be the carrier to make them all work together.

If it is compatible with Nextel, does it use the iDEN system, or is it internet based like Sprint's QChat?

Who have any news on this? as for what I read PTT should be avaliable already, however, I have not seen any new phones on metro's store or website.

If anyone has an update on this please post it.
Thanks.
