Sprint offers a cool yahoo app for 2.99. Does anyone use it? My girlfriend got it for her fusic but it keeps freezing when she is typing a msg and it will periodically power cycle her phone for no apparent reason. This does not sound normal. Has anyone else used this program and had this same experience? Thanks for the help in advance.

although ive never heard of this exact problem, it doesnt sound too uncommon from other issues ive encountered with customers. my suggesttion would be to do the following:

-check the phones software version, and update it if possible (either from the phone, or in-store). if it can be done from the phone, it would probably be completed through the following steps:

menu->settings->others->update phone s/w

-erase the application from the phone (but not from the Content Manager; this way you will be able to re-download it at no cost)

-launch the web browser, and access the Browser Menu... from there, delete the cookies, then restart the browser

-re-download the Application, and see if the problems are duplicated

if so, i wo...

Ok, thank you. She may end up trying a different phone today (either the Sanyo 8400 or the Samsung a920) and if the same thing exists, we will know it isn't the phone.

Not conventionally. Current pans seem to indicate that Sprint plans to move forward with Nextels iDen 'Direct Connect' (thier brandname for thier Push To Talk). Since Sprint phones have been built to use a similiar (but different) service called 'Ready Link' (which is based off of a CDMA network), the 2 services are not intercompatable.

Now, like i said, starting at the end of this year, Sprint will start releasing phones (probly Sanyos) that use CDMA for voice & data calls, and use iDen for the PTT service. This will involve the phones using 2 different networks (an industry first).

Unfortunately, phones require specific internal hardware to be able to process 'Direct Connect' calls, so unless the phone was built with the capability, ...

I will just say that channel checks are not looking good for the last reporting quarter, but that is all I can say. I can say that Power Vision and Boost continue to do well.

Well when I compared channel checks from the previous to this one it is a bit better but still not as good as many people expect, but I think they will get better during the 4th qt into 07 with new advertisements and products coming out. Problem is with execution, because you can have the best assets but you have to perform and if you cannot, something is wrong. The good thing is that Sprint is a very attractive takeover target so that is another thing going for them.

I know that Boost and Power Vision continues to do well and will continue in the future.
