New Phones

I feel that Sprint has the worst selection of phones of all wireless companies. Why do they not carry a large selection of Nokia, Motorola, Erricsson, etc... They really limit the customers choices. With that said, are there any short term plans from Sprint to offer a larger and more diverse selection of phones.

Thanks

In simple terms, because of the technology they use. CDMA. Like Verizon. The phones you mention tend to conflict with the network if they do not have the best or right "chips" in them to make them compatible with the network. Nokia prefers to use thier own cdma chips in the phones so they tend to not work as well as the phone should.

mostly because SE decided to not make american cdma phones, and nokia and motorola do not make phones up to sprints quality for cdma

the others are right. Do you want the largest selection, or the best selection of phones?

Actually, Nokia's using CDMA chips developed in a joint venture with Texas Instruments...the 6225 works excellent on Sprint's network.
