How is the service?

I live on Long Island, NY and work in NYC. I currently have Verizon service but I am considering going to the Sprint network.

I am looking for a cheaper carrier but I don't want to relive my experiences that I had with AT&T about 4 years ago.

Is Sprint reliable as a cell phone provider, or will I have alot of dropped calls. According to their coverage map I should be getting good to great coverage around my home, but AT&T's coverage map said the same thing, and I didn't even get coverage at my house.

last report out on dropped calls had Verizon/Sprint as 1st place tied. Tmobile was next and AT&T was last by a large margin. Sprint has a 14 day trial period.
Sprnit has got a slew of network and customer service awards over the last 2 years.

I have to agree with vercetti. When I had Sprint service in NYC and surrounding area was fine. That doesn't mean it will or won't be for you. Take them for a test drive for 14 days.
