There is a huge complaint from Employees who have to compete for sales from other Dealer based stores. There are other ways Corperate store's can offer more than Besy buy, and Radio Shack. Yes, we have Buy Back programs and right now any old Blackberry will give you $50 for each one towards the purchase of equipment or accessories. That is up to $150. Can Best Buy or Radio shack allow billing to anyones account? The answer is no. Not everyone can bill to thier account we all know this. Have you stopped to think that Sprint gains more by having less overhead with authorized dealers. Yes it cost more for Sprint to have retail locations. Just know there are several advantages for a customer to come into the Sprint store. Of course we will help ...

Can't you only buy back phones that were previously active and used on your own account for at least three months?

At least, in my documents it says so...

How long has this been going on? Maybe when I got my Hero the guy could have told me this. I still have my old Blackberry and a couple other of Sprint phones laying around. I liked my 8130 but see no need for it in the future.

I'll check with the local store. If they will take any Blackberry regardless, I could easily come up with some cheap blackberry phones to trade for major account credit... ๐Ÿ˜

Abuse it until it is fixed. Oh yeah.

Now that there have been some questions regarding the buyback program. The answer to the question about phones having to be active on an account with Sprint is......No only for Sprint phones is this a rule. Read the M&P's any phone from any carrier that has value can be bought back. It does not matter if it was active on thier account with the other carrier or not.

There may be value added services that can be provided by a Sprint store, however, my experience with Sprint stores has been less than acceptable. I took my Sprint Touch into the Short Pump, Virginia Sprint store to have the screen replaced as the right upper corner was degrading from repeated use of the "OK" button. I was told the phone had water damage and they would not replace the screen. Fortunately, I had another Sprint Touch new in the box that I did not want to use as I was planning on selling it when I upgrade to a new phone later in the year. I restored the Sprite backup to this brand new phone and I returned to the same store to have the PRL update applied to the phone as it was several versions old. I explained to the Sprint...

First off I cannot speak for every store or every rep that resides in them. What I suggest is.....If you have a better experience in a radio shack or vice versa then go where you feel the most welcome. I only suggest that value in the dollar amount through purchasing phones at a olocation is best at a corperate sprint store because of Billing to the account and buybacks. Radio Shack has the ability to buyback phones too. The corperate retail stores have reps that have complained about competition from Radio Shack and Best Buy though instant rebates. I have only posted the above "Purchasing from Radio Shack and Best Buy through sprints Eyes" to give reps an open eye view of the bigger picture. Also to invite suggestions on how we can offer mo...

Get rid of your mail-in-rebates for starters... now that would be a huge improvement. Your customer flow would increase a lot. Get a better trade in program, at Radioshack I got 250 dollars worth of trade in credit for my iphone 3GS 16gb towards the new evo, and used that 50 on accessories, plus they also gave me another 20 dollar credit, so in total 70 dollars worth of credit towards accessories or anything. As of right now I don't see Sprint corporate offering any jaw dropping drooling incentives.
Incentives is what gets customers rolling in the store. Even if you offer the best customer service, prices may turn down peoples wallets. In retailer locations they can open up credit cards in the store to purchase what they want too, plus a di...
