Dan Hesse said "Our company-wide retention efforts, which include Simply Everything(TM) plans, our Now Network(TM) campaign and the launch of the Instinct(TM) handset are proving to be effective retention tools, particularly for high-value customers, and this is beginning to have positive impacts on churn and ARPU. Our sequential improvement in post-paid churn is the best reported by any national wireless carrier since 2004, and it equals Sprint's best-ever churn performance post-merger."
Consolidated net operating revenues of $9.1 billion for the quarter were 3% lower than in the first qu ...

Thanks for the laugh my bad they're all coming back! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 hilarious hilarious
And isn't WiMAX coming to Sprint? Yeah, it is; and Google, Intel, Time Warner and some others are backing Sprint and Clearwire. Yes, Sprint just lost 901k customers, but they still have over 50 million and they're probably getting me. I think they'll do just fine.
WiMax has the potential for very long range (5 - 30 miles) and high speeds.
The initial version, based on 802.16a, is designed for fixed (non-mobile) applications only, such as a wireless replacement for home DSL or cable modem service.
Newer versions, such as 802.16e, add support for mobility, potentially making WiMax a competitor for certain 3G or 4G cell-phone technologies.
WiMax uses OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing), an increasingly common type of digital wireless technology that is also used in some digital radio and television standards.
WiMax operates at higher frequencies than mobile phone networks....

Most of those people are regretting it. eventually theyll come back when their 2 yrs are up I've been approached 3 times this week by people saying they wished they never switched, so you cannot speak on behalf of all those people.
How can you say most of those poeple are regretting it? Are you saying that you've spoken to MOST of the 900k plus that left? You must work a lot of overtime. I guess you can't speak for all of those people either. 🙄
It's sad to see people live for a companies downfall, which isn't going to happen anytime soon. You two guys would probably get laid for the first time before the company goes out of business. 😉
Those numbers are clearly showing Sprint's customer base going DOWN over the year. It wasn't too long ago when Sprint had 55 million customers.. now we're down to 51.9 million. And they say to expect more losses for quarter 3 again? How much longer until sprint falls to UNDER 50 million subscribers? This ship really is sinking and it looks like there is no end in sight.

Churn is down by 1/2 a percent! Are you kidding me Cellehater? That is one of the best improvemens of any wireless company is history. And there were fewer subscribers lost compared to first quarter, so that is an improvement in itself. Talk down Sprint all you want, but for any company that is a huge move in the right direction. Good job Dan Hesse!
You must be kidding. Churn down by 1/2 of a percent and you think that is an impressive number? Huge movment? The biggest "movement" to come from Sprint was the on Hesse had after dinner.

Plus they're guessing next quarter will be even worse! 🤣
How can that be? The Instinct was supposed to kill the iPhone and bring it's users into the Sprint fold. Could the Instinct have been overhyped? Might it not have been the iPhone killer that their website said it was?
I do know that four out of the four users in our office took their Instincts back and got something else. Two of them got iPhones instead. Surely that didn't happen anywhere else...
Good one ace thumbs up 🙄
Cellenator said:
🤣 There he is! yup another close to million lost and can't sign up anything but a few boost mobile losers, but yeah yawn 🤣
Good one ace thumbs up 🙄
No worries.
They'll be back when their contracts are up.
P&G tried three VZW PTT phones to see how we liked them. One of them got dropped and broke the very first day! 🤣 Everyone hated them.
Not to mention they are so slow.
Verizon Push to wait. Now that's funny. 🤣
If sprint is to survive and it ain't looking good, they will probably be selling off nextel pretty soon anyways.
Cellenator said:
That is not true. The fact that qchat has been tested to work just as well as Nextel, and since verizon is using the same platform called brewchat it's just as fast as Nextel. You can't honestly comment on it because you haven't used it!!
If sprint is to survive and it ain't looking good, they will probably be selling off nextel pretty soon anyways.
Actually, QChat isn't as fast a Nextel DC. There is a slight delay on the uplink side of the call. Again, no internet connection, regardless of how fast it is, is instant. No such technology even exists.
Even though broadband connections don't "dial out" per se, they still must travel through the ...

Yeah, it is right!
Let's say you and a group of your buddies go hiking up in the mountains and I do the same. Let's say everyone in your group has the Verizon PTT phones and my party has Nextels.
When we arrive at the trails, you and your group will have no signal from a nearby tower, and neither will mine. The difference though is your bunch will have useless bricks in their possession for the length of the trip while my guys can switch over to off network settings and stay in touch.
Also, let's say you and your friends go into one of those huge, indoor flea markets with a big metal roof that is in a fringe cellular area. Let's also s...

Good job of explaining them. there useless bricks will just like be a gadget that has no battery. What's the use of bringing it? You're just wasting your bucks to them. Why would you pay so much and get a crappy service, when you can save a lot of money if you're going to subscribe to NDC of Sprint and have the best coverage nationwide? So, throw your PTW and avail the PTT!!!

Sprint may be sliding in numbers, but until they slide into the stinking smoldering bowels of hell, they will still be better than AT&T in any area I have ever been. Not as good as my VZW, but my wife has no problems with Sprint. Both of us had HORRIBLE AT&T service.
It's your area. AT&T is very strong in many places where others aren't and vice versa. Just because you happen to live in an area better serviced by Sprint doesn't mean that Sprint is the superior company. But you are wise to go with whoever provides you with the best service.
I also have traveled a fair amount around the USA (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts). I have VZW, my wife has Sprint, and I never have lack of service unless I am in Death Valley (only because my new phone is all digital...analog works there). My wife occasionally does lack service on Sprint when we travel (it works in Death Valley on her ancient phone). We both used to have AT&T, and had HORRIBLE service virtuall...

In other words, if you bought a Moto Razr from Verizon, and your wife got an identical one from Sprint, both would have the same abilities to read from a nearby CDMA tower.
The only differences being the fact that her Sprint phone might not have a roaming agreement with a nearby VZW tower, so if she tried to call anyone, she would get a recorded message that said something like "you are not authorized to use this service." The device would still see the tower, and could still complete 911 calls.
I know this for a fact because my ic502 will receive full signal strength from a nearby Cricket tower,...

Me trolling? No, I believe you're thinking of AvgJoe.
If you enjoy negative news articles, I've got about a dozen that are about Verizon I could post over there. I don't because it would serve no purpose other than to start flame wars, and at the end of the day, won't change anyone's mind.

As usual noone can have a real debate about the actual facts regarding Sprint. Take it easy I'll be back next report! 😁 😉
I will
Sprint has made huge improvements and changes over the past 8 months, we are chnaging the tide but it will take time we have to make up for years of terrible customer care and blah advertising, We can recover but we have miles ahead of us.
So lets put down some facts for ya
FACT, Sprint DOES HAVE a larger calling area then verizon,
FACT, Our PTT DOMINATES verizo's in coverage, speed, amount of users, SUBSECOND connectivity none of this 20 secs later crap then we can talk.
FACT, Our EVDO-REV-O-A Speeds are faster then yours, because we dont cap ...

what's your explanation for Sprint's loss?
Did you not read my entire first paragraph ?
When they're not eligilble for a new phone and they figure by switching to a new carrier they'll get a cheaper phone but fail to realize that you cannot upgrade every 2 months with any company and expect a free phone.

Whenever somebody got thrown off a building and Superman caught them he still went down a few inches before he would then carry them back to the roof. You cannot stop a free fall without going down a little bit more first. I for one think that Dan Hesse is a very good CEO, doing a great job and he has Sprint started back in the right direction. I think that cellenator is a perfect example of this. The other side is so desperate to stop Sprint from turning around and being the kind of company it could and will be that they keep trying to tear Sprint down.

I see things from your shoes, and your perspective, but heavy accents KILL when your job is to be on a phone all day.
Hence, your claims of 'qualification', while perhaps completely deserved for you and you alone (Though I doubt, based on your atrocious grammar) do not apply, by any stretch of the imagination, to your coworkers at large.
