Our sequential improvement in post-paid churn is the best reported by any national wireless carrier since 2004, and it equals Sprint's best-ever churn performance post-merger."

I currently have Verizon, but I'm probably going to get Sprint because it will cost me $36/mo less ($432 over 1 year, $864 over the life of the contract). I'll deal with Sprint's customer service, which is actually getting a lot better I hear, for a contract that is almost $1k cheaper with virtually the same network performance.

And isn't WiMAX coming to Sprint? Yeah, it is; and Google, Intel, Time Warner and some others are backing Sprint and Clearwire. Yes, Sprint just lost 901k customers, but they still have over 50 million and they're probably getting me. I think they'll do just fine.

WiMax is the trade name for a family of new technologies related to the IEEE 802.16 wireless standards.

WiMax has the potential for very long range (5 - 30 miles) and high speeds.

The initial version, based on 802.16a, is designed for fixed (non-mobile) applications only, such as a wireless replacement for home DSL or cable modem service.

Newer versions, such as 802.16e, add support for mobility, potentially making WiMax a competitor for certain 3G or 4G cell-phone technologies.

WiMax uses OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing), an increasingly common type of digital wireless technology that is also used in some digital radio and television standards.

WiMax operates at higher frequencies than mobile phone networks....

Have you seen me in Verizon's forum talking about how they nickel and dime their customers, and how Tmobile still has you stuck with 9pm nights. Good job 🤣

Those numbers are clearly showing Sprint's customer base going DOWN over the year. It wasn't too long ago when Sprint had 55 million customers.. now we're down to 51.9 million. And they say to expect more losses for quarter 3 again? How much longer until sprint falls to UNDER 50 million subscribers? This ship really is sinking and it looks like there is no end in sight.

How can that be? The Instinct was supposed to kill the iPhone and bring it's users into the Sprint fold. Could the Instinct have been overhyped? Might it not have been the iPhone killer that their website said it was?

VZW ptt has to locate a server before the call can ever go through. DC actually bypasses the phone system altogether to contact another unit DIRECTLY via a separate dispatch #. This is why it was named DIRECT CONNECT.

Actually, QChat isn't as fast a Nextel DC. There is a slight delay on the uplink side of the call. Again, no internet connection, regardless of how fast it is, is instant. No such technology even exists.

When we arrive at the trails, you and your group will have no signal from a nearby tower, and neither will mine. The difference though is your bunch will have useless bricks in their possession for the length of the trip while my guys can switch over to off network settings and stay in touch.

Also, let's say you and your friends go into one of those huge, indoor flea markets with a big metal roof that is in a fringe cellular area. Let's also s...

It's your area. AT&T is very strong in many places where others aren't and vice versa. Just because you happen to live in an area better serviced by Sprint doesn't mean that Sprint is the superior company. But you are wise to go with whoever provides you with the best service.

Don't even get me started on AT&T. I live in Orange County, CA, a reasonably populated area, it's flat without much to block signals, and AT&T **sucks** here, in spite of their claims to cover the area well.

I also have traveled a fair amount around the USA (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts). I have VZW, my wife has Sprint, and I never have lack of service unless I am in Death Valley (only because my new phone is all digital...analog works there). My wife occasionally does lack service on Sprint when we travel (it works in Death Valley on her ancient phone). We both used to have AT&T, and had HORRIBLE service virtuall...

Your wife must own an older Sprint phone, because all of the newer ones are essentially the same as their counterparts that go to Verizon.

In other words, if you bought a Moto Razr from Verizon, and your wife got an identical one from Sprint, both would have the same abilities to read from a nearby CDMA tower.

The only differences being the fact that her Sprint phone might not have a roaming agreement with a nearby VZW tower, so if she tried to call anyone, she would get a recorded message that said something like "you are not authorized to use this service." The device would still see the tower, and could still complete 911 calls.

I know this for a fact because my ic502 will receive full signal strength from a nearby Cricket tower,...

You have every right to work, but when every company that outsources shows a drop in CSAT, perhaps it could be inferred that outsourced callcenters hurt CSAT?

I see things from your shoes, and your perspective, but heavy accents KILL when your job is to be on a phone all day.

Hence, your claims of 'qualification', while perhaps completely deserved for you and you alone (Though I doubt, based on your atrocious grammar) do not apply, by any stretch of the imagination, to your coworkers at large.
