That is not a good investment.
For the record I thought this was a good idea about 3 months ago, but now we can see that Sprint is not even close to getting their problems fixed. (Which I believe would be good for the wireless industry.) Their problems are just starting and they're growing.
sprint will never go bankrupt smartguy. first provider to launch 4g (wimax), possiblity of prorating contracts, new simply everthing plans, not having to renew your contract. sprint is moving in the right direction while everyone else is standing still. exspecally verizon. swallow your pride and admit it or go complain in the verizon forum.

Even if Sprint DID go bankrupt, all that would happen is that some other company would buy them out, and possibly change their name. Sprint is by no means a sinking ship that's going to ultimately drown everyone who's on board. Like you said, too many assets, too many people relying on them for specialized services (e.g. push-to-talk), and WAY too big of a network that features high speed broadband for Sprint to simply disappear altogether.
No, if worse does come to worse, SOMEBODY somewhere, will get a really sweet deal on a major wireless ...
