Is it a mistake to come to sprint?

hammey22

Feb 12, 2008, 6:56 PM
I am currently on VZW and have been having some issues with service. At home the coverage is spotty at times, and the text messaging from Outlook is slow to really slow. I have a co-worker on Sprint and for the most part he is happy with his service.

I guess is anyone sorry that they left VZW for Sprint and why?

Thanks

Chris

No, it is not a mistake to come to Sprint. The network is by far the best. The only downfall is their phone selection isn't as big as verizons, but their are still some good phones at sprint. the only people that have promblems with customer service are retards who want everything for free

Explain why sometimes my credits show up within 2hrs then some don't appear until next months bills. I got a credit for a phone I returned and he said it will not show up until next months bill, but he issued a credit for data and it was on my online billing within 1hr.

There's your problem...

Never deal with the online system. If you do a warranty swap, do it in store. See real people.

I serve many customers a month who never have a single problem with Sprint. It's quite easy...

Get the right rate plan
Get the right packages (text / vision)
Get the right handset
Get the service plan / insurance

Yes.. you may pay more than you thought you should for the minutes even though you plan on talking like a school girl...

Yes.. you didn't think you really needed that unlimited text plan even though you plan on texting your heart out...

Yes.. the handset wasn't free, even though you will use all the functions of it...

Yes.. you didn't think you needed the insurance, but you'll be happy ...

BULL!!! I hear this everyday, If you changed your plan anytime before 2008 you had to extend your contract. When you first sign up you get paper work with the terms maybe if people actually took the time to read these things they would realize what they're getting theirselves into. That's like having a car, your not entitled to have a car but when your warranty is up do u expect a free car after it breaks down on you? NO! Another thing that gets under my skin are people that come into the Sprint stores trying to return or exchange things with no box or receipt ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? Would you go to Best buy and try to return a LCD without a receipt? Same thing yes we have it in the records, but that's not for you to be so careless it's for warra...

No worries.

It's quite understandable that you are very jaded and are either shortsighted or unwilling to acknowledge the bounty of poorly trained to unscrupulous representatives at your organization - thus instead of recognizing that many of the problems result due these factors, it's much simpler to blame the customer - even when there is a mountain of evidence to the contrary.

It's not a matter of knowing everything, but it is a matter of knowing that you are shading the truth with your hyper generalization that every issue with Sprint CS is the customer's fault. Failing to recognize that is just silly.
...

Feb 14, 2008, 3:29 PM
obviously that mountain exists but a world of lazy customer and well applied rules can change your statement.

Issues exist but the biggest problem is that most customer denies what they signed and believe by paying the most expensive phone is to be able to use all features at no additional charge.

Service is a little expensive but coverage is great and data transfer speed is the top

I used to work for Sprint and they couldn't even save me when I left. I had a VERY good plan but got fed up with incorrect billing and extremely poor customer service. I went back to US Cellular. They may be the #6 carrier but trust me if they had the same national coverage Sprint has,(or is licensed to build out but to cheap to spend the money), they would NOT be #6 for very long. My wife and I have had them since 1996 and it was only when I left for a Sprint employee phone that I cut my line off with them. I was so happy last summer to once again have a signal....not a roaming signal but a TRUE HOME signal!!! And when I do leave their coverage area the roaming is seamless and we don't even roam that much but we have a national plan. And ye...

the town i live in has nothing but roaming coverage, and unless i go into the forest or something my signal is fine i've never had a problem with it. the data is great too. When i go to work im on a sprint signal and its still great, and im loving the hi speed data, granted everyone is going to have different experiences, but just because someone has a bad experience somewhere doesnt mean its gonna be the same everywhere else. For instance you love us cellular for various reasons, i on the other hand, cant stand us cellular. their coverage was horrible where i live and cust service was just about the same.. but thats just my opinion.

All Retail store employees should use their own personal/individual logins for access to s.n.c, please use the “s.n.c Login Help (Retail/Business)” link below for additional information & instructions.

Your understanding of business leaves a lot to be desired.

I guess Cingular never bought At&t and At&t took the "dirt nap" you refer to?

Oh wait though, then what about when At&t bought Cingular, did Cingular take the "dirt nap" then?

If they are both taking the "dirt nap" whose in their place now?

You fail.

DO NOT choose Sprint for your wireless services. If you are a Sprint customer, pay the ETF and bail ASAP. Sprint will more than likely be taking a dirt nap within the next 18 months. I assure you 125 store closures is just the first wave of many more and equally destructive actions General Hesse will be implimenting. at&t is the way to go people!

What about people who can't get an at&t signal inside their house or work?

What about folks, such as myself, who regularly call work associates via Direct Connect who don't have telephone service on their devices, thus making it impossible to call them with a regular cell?

Sinking ship or no, SprintNextel is the ONLY wireless company...

I'm going to Sprint. Go to each provider & look at the maps! I've been with Nextel for many years, but I moved & the coverage between work & home is spotty. Home is great, so is work, but inbetween... ehh.

I looked at Verizon, and my house is in the middle of a dead spot on they're map. TMobile is very weak in my area... 1 "bar" at my house. AT&T & Sprint were my only options. Sprint is less $$, and at this time - faster data.

Map your locations & see who works best in your area.

My above all suggestion is see what works best where you are. Every carrier has a coverage map.. pull 'em up and see what the coverage is in your area. It makes no sense to get involved with another carrier if that carrier won't serve your needs any better.

If Sprint (or any other carrier) is a good fit for you... go with it. As I said in another post burried in a reply.. the key to enjoy good service with a customer is easy. It can be summed up as "don't go cheap".

I sell Sprint (and AT&T) and I have plenty of customers who are very happy with their service. Why? They got the right rate plan so they don't go over on their minutes. They got the texting and/or internet packages so they don't have to worry about "casual" use probl...

i thought about switching FROM sprint TO verizon but think i will just stay with sprint. honestly there was a time where i would have ~5 dropped calls a night. and i live in a large city so that was lame. recently though i haven't had trouble and way back when i first started service they were billing me every month for ringtones that i had bought that were only supposed to be charged every 3 months. they fixed that though.

only irritating thing recently was i had called in to get my number changed and thats all. i had this rep who just started spitting out all kinds of offers she could give me "if you renew your contract we can get you...

If you live in a large city dropped calls are more of a problem due to the increase of people using the carrier who ever it is verizon or sprint. That is how CDMA and GSM differ. GSM just won't let you call. GSM will only allow some many user on one channel. CDMA will let you call but if too many people get on the same channel then the call is lost. That is why you get allot of people with att say they can't make a call allot of times.
