Hear Ye, Hear Ye
Anyways, the time has come and my store is one of the 125 retail doors closing. To those who would like to put a negative spin on this statement please note I am VERY pleased with the situation as I now have several months to relax and am being compensated VERY well during that time. Being a manager for Sprint over the past few years has been a lot of fun but it's time to cut my losses and get out with a good chunk of change to go with it.
To all the other employees who are staying good luck. Despite what people say or think, Sprint has an EXCELLENT product and their service is top notch...
I do remember you, i've been here awhile too just not posting much.
I'm getting out of wireless too in march after almost 6 years so I hear you!
and this is my boss he's insulting... i'm offended by it.
So many people are leaving this site *sigh* it's been real

I found it amusing
I wish you the best of luck.

You're an idiot Buttford.
2 years ago, our store was doing 90-120 new adds per month. we were a low volume store, but consistant.
1 year ago, smart wireless put a kiosk in the mall with us, and within two months radioshack did the same... both selling sprint exclusivley. all of a sudden, we went down to 40-60 phones per month.
after some time, we found out that those kiosks were telling customers that they were corporate, and we weren't. after buying, when the cust was coming back with problems, they sent them up to us, and we had to deal with the problems, because we are corporate. for the last year, 40% + of our traffic, has been fixing billing errors. and being a mal...
but you're not... so... i'm done with you.
So don't hate.......Congratulate
p.s glad to see raycarrol back here
i myself am at a "solid C" store and my DM assured out immunity. but if you prolly listend closely you heard also "but things can always change"
I know a sprint store that's gonna get the cut, and the employees don't know yet. I might leave a note or something.
Sprint IS making a profit, but since they lost so many customers last quarter, they decided to bump a few stores off. Only 125 out of HOW MANY? 1,000's.
sprint will at least be bought out. Alltel or Verizon. They won't go down entirely.
my assistant manager had taken the severance package when they took away the position at "c" stores and his was a really really good one with 6months paid and %100 commission too.
he had been with the company 5 yrs at the time.
