So most of you noobs probably don't know me but those who have been around for a while probably remember me from back when I was posting a lot.

Anyways, the time has come and my store is one of the 125 retail doors closing. To those who would like to put a negative spin on this statement please note I am VERY pleased with the situation as I now have several months to relax and am being compensated VERY well during that time. Being a manager for Sprint over the past few years has been a lot of fun but it's time to cut my losses and get out with a good chunk of change to go with it.

To all the other employees who are staying good luck. Despite what people say or think, Sprint has an EXCELLENT product and their service is top notch...

I wish you nothing, I hope your many days of welfare, food stamps and free housing brings you happyiness. If you pray hard enough to the Cell phone Gods they may show leniency on you and allow you to have a prepaid plan.

I wish you the best of luck.

Lol. In my personal time? No way. But I did do that while I wasn't busy at work. I was just offered a position back at Sprint if I want it though, so I may take it and be back in the Sprint saddle. I'm gonna take a few months off and explore my options either way.

Never say never. You must not be in retail for long! Or just plain ignorant. And either way why do you have to be an ass to the ones that did lose their job just because sprint made the stupid error in putting a store in a bad place.

I hate to say it, but you can't place the entire blame on Sprint for their retail stores that are under achieving their goals. It is true there are in certain markets where corporate stores are literally in line of sight from one another, but in the majority of these under achieving stores are because of poor staffing. Personally, I'd say fire junglemassive and StoreLead as they are the Sprint leadership team and replace them after 4-6 months of failing to meet the KPIs set forth by their DM. I too am in accordance with Bufford, and am 🤣 🤣 🤣 .

i agree with you. where you would typically be correct, you are wrong this time.

2 years ago, our store was doing 90-120 new adds per month. we were a low volume store, but consistant.

1 year ago, smart wireless put a kiosk in the mall with us, and within two months radioshack did the same... both selling sprint exclusivley. all of a sudden, we went down to 40-60 phones per month.

after some time, we found out that those kiosks were telling customers that they were corporate, and we weren't. after buying, when the cust was coming back with problems, they sent them up to us, and we had to deal with the problems, because we are corporate. for the last year, 40% + of our traffic, has been fixing billing errors. and being a mal...

doesnt matter what store your in, it matters how may you have in one place. atlanta has 40 sprint stores. houston has god knows how many and i had two friends from there saying their stores are closing,"solid B stores".

i myself am at a "solid C" store and my DM assured out immunity. but if you prolly listend closely you heard also "but things can always change"

few months paid? damn, wish I was a closing store sprint manager.

I know a sprint store that's gonna get the cut, and the employees don't know yet. I might leave a note or something.

Sprint IS making a profit, but since they lost so many customers last quarter, they decided to bump a few stores off. Only 125 out of HOW MANY? 1,000's.

The 125 Sprint corporate retail store closures represent approximately 8% of their locations which I believe is around 1563 nationwide. How did you leave about the store's closing chainmail311? It doesn't matter if they know their Titanic is sinking. 🤣 🤣 🤣

Sprint may not take a dirt nap, but hopefully some wireless carrier wil not only acquire them, but terminate every single upper level executive of Sprint and only keep the staff who have had positive work performance reviews for the previous year.
