Samsung AirRave
ummm... we just got the cell-phone tower in a box into our inventory. I'm seeing that it has an ESN, so does it need to be activated? And if so, which plan does it require, if any?
Any help would be appreciated, and Yean's help would be greatly appreciated...

It's a signal booster for Sprint phones that connects to a router, it looks like a router. Kind of like a mini cell tower in your house, sort of.

Also, just think of it as a version of T-Mobile's Hot Spot at Home service, except it doesn't need a phone with WiFi. This makes it way better.

The device itself is $50, but I am uncertain if there are any usage charges or a service plan that is required. According to the handbook, it has to be activated first, yet we at my store have been unable to determine what is necessary to do so.
If anybody has any additional info, it would be greatly appreciated.

The plans will be $5 a month to use your current plan in your home. Up to 3 users can use it at a time. Then there will be a $15 plan for 1 user to use it unlimited and $25 if you want up to 5 users on your account to use it unlimited. With the unlimited plans, it doesn't pull from your regular plan minutes. This will work for up to 5000 square feet and you can't have 2 within that 5000 square feet unless you lock the users. You do not need to have coverage where you want to use it. You just need to have high speed internet.

Funny. When they gonna have it in stores? Do you know if the Airave will offer 1X service or EVDO or both?
