Yeah i'm in the same boat..and i say save your coins...its the same thing...they just removed the 700 guts and placed it into the 755 nothing changed besides the cheap color and removal of the antenna. nothings new...literally nothing...

Palm OS users are loyal, possibly more loyal than Apple users. However, unlike Apple, it is not a growing platform. More people are not adopting the Palm OS every day like they are Windows Mobile, or Symbian or the Blackberry. The Treo 755p doesn't add any new features to attract new users to the Palm OS, nor does it give current users much of a reason to upgrade. However, the 755p it is a solid performer that addresses nearly every complaint we've heard from curr...

Agreed, Palm needs to get its act together and refresh both their design and OS if they ever hope to compete with the others.

At least the Treo 755p one won't get you taken down by TSA in the airports. 🤣

So i guess everyone here agrees that theres no reason to upgrade to the 755 right? From what i have heard and seen it the same as the 700p but without the antennae and comes in colors right? well i love my 700p, i just hoped the 755 had more features and up grades.

It has more software built into it, and it is smaller and lighter.

For some, the form factor is enough to favor the 755p.

Is it worth $379.99?

Probably not.

Google Maps, and a built in IM program that connects to MSN, Yahoo, and AIM, that allows you to keep the program connected and running in the background. that's it.

i was reading somewhere that it stated that it addressed all the previous complaints about the 700p. although i am not sure what complaints they were speaking of. my manager has the 700p and is thinking of switching. oh and cant you watch tv now or something like that with the 755p? that and something else to do with music.

700p was always able to watch Sprint TV, but never had access to the Sprint Music Store. the 755p continues in that tradition. Sprint TV access, no Music Store. i'm not sure if Pandora will be available or not.

but when it comes down to it, no the 755p doesn't address all the complaints from the 700p. same OS, same UI, same everything except for the google maps, and IM app.

that's nearly verbatim from our regional Palm rep. it's pretty much just a refresh of the 700p.

once palm acquires the Linux license (i think is what we're waiting on) is when i think we'll start to see major changes on the treo front. hopefully by end of next year right?

Size-wise it is almost identical. Most wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Not worth the upgrade,

I bet the 700p is more expensive to make...think about it..the 755 has a plastic stylus the keyboard feels really cheap...does anyone know if the reception is better? and now we all have to change sd cards..to a mini...? when almost everything is SD compatible...cant swap my sd card from my digital camera place it in my treo and email the shots anymore...and for the software...in the video..it looked as if they were downloadable links...i already have the voice control app downloaded...im sure its the same for the im client.
