http://msmobiles.com/news.php/2391.html »

"High Tech Computer (HTC) has secured an ODM order for iDEN ( integrated Digital Enhanced Network) wireless handsets from Motorola, with shipments to begin sometime in the second half of this year, according to Taiwanese handset makers."

Looks like the i930's will be shipping to the US sometime in June. Finally!!! 😁

Nextel...should I or shouldn't I?

I am currently a At&t wireless customer. My contract expires in December of 2005. I am thinking of leaving them after my contract is up because I really want a phone with a walkie talkie feature so I can be in definite reach of my family. I noticed that Sprint has their version (Ready Link) out but it is new so I think there will be problems...also paying an extra $15 a month to use it is a rip 👿 . Then their is Verizon with their PTT (Push to talk). They only have that one phone (The V60p...Yet ANOTHER version of the tired V60 :roll🙂 so I am not sure about them either. I really want to give Nextel a try but I keep hearing bad things about their coverage and their customer service. I have good coverage and service now so I don't want t...

Insight On TeleNav

We have seen TeleNav on the net... I have got e-mails that breeze over it... Has any one used it with older Nextel phones or the new i730?... It looks as if the subscriber has to add an NOL feature and then go (via PC) to TeleNav.net and register... What comes next? It looks as if you can get real-time directions via the handset, both by the mapping to the screen and voice over the speaker phone...

Any info is helpful.

Are company's the first to get new nextel phones?

A few days ago i saw this guy with the new i830 i got a quick glimps of the phone,it's very skinny and when you open it up it kinda of has the shape of the i730. The guy told me that almost everyone in his company has had the phone for awhile now. So are company's the first to get un released products before the public?

possible new customer

I am thinking about switching from verizon to nextel b/c their ptt sucks compared to what i've heard of nextel's direct connect. verizon's phones seem to suck, but nextel's seem to be even worse. anyone know if there's supposed to be any new phones, especially camera phone, or when new ones might come out? thanks!

Best Phones - Need Opinions for Chicaga market

RE: Chicago market

After 13 years as a loyal subscriber to Ameritech Cellular/Verizon Wireless and 7 months of dropped calls, I'm leaving VZ for Nextel.

Verizon's Solution was to permit me to upgrade equipment early provided I resign for another two years. No promise that the new equipment would last or be better for the next two years and no compensation for the last few months of lousy service.

I want a clamshell phone, and wondering what is the better performer between i530 and i730.

Any and all comments re: Nextel vs Verizon in Chicago and suburbs surrounding in a 75 mi circle are most welcome.

Also hear an i930 is forthcoming??

Tracking System????

I am pretty sure that I know the answer to this question, but I am going to ask it anyway. Does Nextel have an option for companies to purchase that allows and employer to track where his employees are by locating their phone?? It would have to be some sort of way to use the GPS in the phone for more than the E911 capabilities. I heard this as a rumor and do not believe it, but thought I would ask just in case there was some sort of truth to it.

Thanks for your help.
