NEXTEL to use Priority Access for Emergency Personnel

Wireless priority service provides authorized federal, state, and local government leaders as well as key private-sector leaders and decision-makers with the ability to have calls moved to the head of the queue in an emergency.

WPS does not interfere or interrupt consumer wireless calls already in progress, however.

Nextel loyal customer offers

I heard that Nextel will soon come out with promotional offers for loyal cutomers, to appease those of us who get pissed and can't understand why they always give the best deals to new subscribers, while shafting their longtime well paying subscribers.
Has anyone else heard anything about this, or is it just a rumor?

i730, i830 camera...

😲 Has anyone had any experience with this:

For those not wanting to click the link, it's 54.99 for a 640x480 camera that plugs into the bottom of the phone. They have 999954 of them left. πŸ˜›

Anyway, thought I'd test the water and see if anyone has taken a dip.
(Again, I don't need to know that you think it should work, or that it could work, or that you don't know anything, as that just wastes everyone time.) πŸ™„

Nextel Service?

I am a current ATT customer and I am not happy with their coverage. I want to switch to another company. I live in Colorado and was wondering if anyone could tell me what they thought of the Nextel Service. Do you get good coverage? Good signals?

Just picked up an i830....

for my wife yesterday and boy is it sweet!

I told her not to expect the same battery life as her prior i60 that had an extended battery but the outside display upgrade made up for that. πŸ˜‰

Programming the phone is very close to prior Moto. formats and was a breeze to master. The only complaint that I have is a very weak vibrate mode. Its nowhere near the i60 or my i95. Well I guess small size has it's disadvantages in certain areas.

Have a good day everyone...

Streaming multimedia support?

Phonescoop's description of the i95cl mentions that it supports streaming media (i.e. mp3's and more?)... Has anyone had any luck with this? Does the i730 or i830 support it?

Thanks for any info.

Falcon Inferior Speakerphone?

My i830, my technicians i730... Every i530 we sold all have inferior speaker phone in comparison to i60, i90/95, etc. Anyone else notice this? The previous phones mounted the speaker to the backplate of the phone utilizing the body of the phone to resonate the sound... the new phones push air with an open speaker design... Maybe there is a mod to be developed...

It is what it is.

service restricted

Any help here would be greatly appreciated. I went to use my i95 and when I hit talk, it says service restricted. I can still use my direct connect, but no telephone. In the menu, under service status, the phone says service restricted, but there is no way to change it. I was going to call CS service, but they are closed. Thanks in advance.
