Phones

Can anyone tell me why the phones that are offered by T-Mobile are inferior to the phones offered by other service providers? Especially since the phones that they do offer seem to be overpriced.

I love their service however the phones that they offer pretty much suck, if you want a reasonably priced high tech phone you are out of luck.

Why do they not offer phones by LG or Seimens

V600 software

Does anybody know for sure whether the T-mobile version of the Moto V600 is free of some of those nasty software issues that users on other carriers have been complaining of?

real talk

Gsm is good, but not great. Neither is CDMA for that matter. The bottom line is that Verizon has done a better job of pounding it into consumers heads that their network is the best. I apologize that the marketing teams at other carriers are unable to do this. Tmobile's marketing strategy concerns get more minutes, features, dropped calls, and refurbed phones. Cingular fits you bets moreso because of all the plans and features. But only one carrier delivers where it matter most, completing and holding onto a call more often than not.

VZW has already started offering more minutes with the IN Network calling, which was a huge success. I"m sure there is something else up their sleeve.

I think the consensus in some of these forums is that...

T-Mobile upgrade question

When I called this morning to ask about upgrading to the Samsung D415, customer care told me that it was not available yet for upgrade. I told them that I would pay the $299 retail for it, but they went on to say it was only available direct (he mentioned Circuit City) and I would have to go there. Does anyone know when this will be available to purchase over the phone for an existing customer? Thanks! 😁

Siemens CF62

Okay so I got to play with it yesterday at work and I must say...

IT IS cheap and plasticky like the dummy phone. The screen is a bit small and not as bright as the Samsung E105. It's pretty basic, no set of bells and whistles. The feel of the phone is what really turned me off. Made a couple of calls on it, reception was very good (maybe due to the fact I was inside my store).Pictures of the phone, it has a nice chrome-like shine to it so I was given the impression it would have a nice metal finish like the E105, but no. It's plastic folks, really cheap plastic. It's kinda like the Motorola V66 (the feel). The looped antenna is kinda neat but overall the phone does not impress me. I'd rather get the Samsung E105, if given the choice.

Samsung X-105 or Sony Ericsson T610

As the title reads, which phone would you all take if given the choice? I'm asking because I am experiencing a known issue from the Manufacturer with my current X-105 phone....and this is very much a manufacturer defect more than anything else.

I go into the menus on this phone to set the alam on this phone to get up in the morning and it just so happens that this phone has a multitude of selections to work with....so I figured awesome, let me pick the Morning Call option. Next I am prompted to set the time for the alarm to ring...I set it for 6:15 and pressed ok. Next screen gives options of 1 for AM and 2 for PM....I selected 1 to proceed. The final option to select is the days of the week to select for this alarm to ring in the mor...

PSA: Enough Already...

*start Public Service Announcement*

I got tired of seeing the VZW vs Cingular war... now it's spilled over here.

To bury the hatchet since these "debates" are neverending...

There isn't a perfect wireless company. None are superior to each other because when you strip away all the bells and whistles... we provide the same service.

A lot of us on here take pride in who we work for, some don't. But I won't bash another or complain about another carrier because I know for a fact that none are flawless. It's just being honest enough about those flaws and doing your part to correct them.

Everyone has their own agenda and goals... T-Mobile might not be up to speed in the public eye compared to other carriers, but there are a lot of...

Hey Starr... or anybody else in the know

Anybody heard anything new about the Samsung C225, the color screen replacement for the R225? We're launching some great new handsets, but they are all in the mid to high tier, except the Nokia 6010. I think this phone will do really well, and it seems like its pretty much a straight bolt on upgrade from the R225, so I wouldn't think it would take very long to get approved and launched.

I do have to say!

T-Mobile has been really disappointing for me in the past year or year and a half. I have been with them for about 6 years and really thought about leaving them about 2 years ago. They then kept telling me that new phones would be coming out. When they did try and accomodate me they sent me the worst phone ever. I have been for the most part satisfied with them before all of this. I stayed with them for this much longer because they keep telling me new and innovative phones are coming out, yet they never bring them out. Don't lie to your customers. Look at the competions phone line and it's pathetic. Once Cingular comes into MN then I am switching for sure. They already have better coverage and they are not yet here. That tells you...

T-Zones Question

Hi I have T-zones on my phone from T mobile..I have downloaded a program called webviewer on my phone and it lets me surf any website. So my question is that other than the $2.99 a month that I pay for T zones is there a data limit on this plan. Can I surf as much as I want for 2.99 or does it have a certain bandwidth limit?

thanks
