helio has stronger content in korean

i think because their main target is young korean american, they built very strong korean content that are in used in korea itself

i bought hero and there was bonus came with that and that is 100 free minutes to korea call, 2 free korean ringtone, 2 free demo korean games. the representative also told me this SK's myspace thingee in korea known as Cyworld will be available from July or September.

it can also text to any carrier in Korea for no charge. Overall, im impressed with their capability and convinience. It even shows local korean town information with attraction, restaurant and their numbers and info

also if i refer someone to helio, than my one month is free so i got one month free

only thing i don like is mobile to mob...

The "Wheres"???

Does anybody know where to find a listing of the cities that Helio service is???
I live in Las Vegas, both Spring and "Evil Verizon" have 3G networks here, so I wouldn't doubt that Helio is in Las Vegas, or will be in the not too distant future.

I really hope U.S. carriers LEARN a lesson from Helio with reguards to they're hesitation to carry INNOVATIVE handsets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All of us "Gadget Geeks" will migrate to Helio in time.

Verizon?

Anyone know when they plan on adding Verizon's coverage in addition to the Sprint they already use? We have extensive native Verizon coverage here, but no Sprint, so I can't sign up yet. ☚ī¸

mac sync work around

So one of our contacts at helio is a mac user, and today he and i worked out a way for you to get your contacts from apple's address book or microsoft entourage to your helio phone. it's not an isync solution, so it won't constantly update, but at least it will save you from the pain of having to enter all your current contacts into your new kickflip or hero. here's how it works:

If you're using Outlook on a PC, you can easily export your Address Book to a .CSV file by going to your Outlook Contacts and choosing File-->Export-->Export to a File-->Export to Comma Separated Values (Windows).

If you're using a Mac, making a .CSV file is a little bit trickier:

If you have Entourage, go to Contacts and choose Export-->"Local contacts to ...

What so great about Helio?

My contract with T-Mobile is ending soon, and I am currently in place for shopping for other carriers. My understanding with Helio is that it is a 2 year contract. Is it worth a 2 year contract? New phones are popping out and just a thought of getting stuck with a same phone for 2 years is killing me. What do you think?

Helio needs a Qwerty

. . . or maybe something like a Sidekick - with rate plans like that (unlimited 3G data included with EVERY PLAN!?!?), plus the ability to post to myspace & browse the web, a PDA like device or a Sidekick, people would eat that up. Anyone know of any plans? The phones they have are pretty damn cool, but something with a QWERTY would take off.

Totally off topic: What a kick @$$ company! Or at least it looks that way from browsing about their site. I wonder what if the employees are treated better than Cingular?!? đŸ‘ŋ 🙄 If only Helio was hiring in the Seattle area. . . 😉

Is it true that since provider is new they(helio) cannot send mms between the other carriers?

Since helio is new you cannot send mms messages between them and the other major carriers or can you?
