Should I Switch?

I am a longtime Sprint customer and use the phone mostly for voice calls. I live and work in central Louisiana. We do not have Verizon available here, and also no mobil broadband in this area. My question is would it be worth it?

Long time Treo user possible convert

I have had 3 Treos with Verizon and are kinda wanting something new and cool and hip for my phone/data device. Also, I used to use lots of Palm apps on my Treo's but as of late I really only use: phone, web, email push, a notes program and a password list keeper. As far as the features and apps goes do you think I will be disappointed?

Helio IS an MVNO of Sprint and Verizon Wireless

guitarprincez86, I stand corrected, you were right. Helio is an MVNO of Sprint and VZW. I got in touch with Helio's tech dept, and this is what Helio informed me, via email:

Hello from Helio, this is Jesus,
Thank you for your inquiry.

XXXXXX, thank you for contacting us via e-mail! and for your interest
in the company as well.

Helio's MVNO is in fact Sprint and Verizon, feel free to contact us
with any more questions you have as we would love to have you in our Helio
family. Have a great day!

I hope we answered your question. If we didn't answer your question or
if you have additional questions, please send us another e-mail at the
address below.

Geez louise papa cheese. Helio IS an MVNO of Sprint, NOT VeriZon Wireless

This is another e-mail from Helio.

Hello from Helio, this is Danielle,
Thank you for your inquiry.

xxxxxx, I appreciate your interest in Helio and the services our
devices provide. Helio does piggyback (MVNO) with Sprint but not Verizon.
Helio uses Sprint towers for call service only but not the network.
Helio offers 3G data networking for internet web browsing. This service
is not linked with Sprint or Verizon. The Helio WAP deck allows members
to browse internet sites but only those with a recognized format.
There are no charges for roaming with Helio service. If you have any
other questions, please feel free to call member care at 1-888-88HELIO and
an agent would be happy to...

Drift or Heat?

Hey all,
I am going to be switching to Helio soon, I really want the Ocean, but I don't think I will be able to afford it. So between the heat and the drift which one do you think is the better phone and why? Thanks!

Verizon Towers

Any word on if or when they will start using Verizon's towers? Sprint is just too spotty around here. Otherwise I'm sold.

International Calls to Korea, International Text mesagging Helio

I've heard a lot of people talking about helio lately and some things they told me and it sounded to good to be true. I tried to look for some info online to at least see something in writing but couldn't find anything.

Statements i heard them say was that
1.)Free mobile to mobile for calling Korea if the person in Korea has an SK Telecom phone

2.)Free mobile to mobile text messaging to Korea if they have an SK telecom phone

3.)No international charges for text messaging to the Philippines

I was hoping if anyone out there could give me some insight regarding this, thanks.

Open Letter to Helio, Challange to change the following:

1.) in an "All In Plan" Helio limits your attachments (video / photo) to 960k. Which means if google mail supports email attachments up to 100mb and you take a cute video thats 5mb, forget about using email to instantly upload it to youtube or vimeo. Why the hell am I paying $65/mo for unlimited data if you're just going to short change me with unreasonable file-attachment restrictions?

2.) Helio lets you send video attachments that are 176x144 but NOT 320x240 EVEN IF ITS UNDER 960k in size.. WTF??!

3.) I've had my Ocean for 5 days and I have yet to get the USB Mass-storage to work with Windows XP Professional SP2. I spent over 2 hours on the phone with various tech support who don't have a clue. One didn't even really know what USB wa...
