For LTE, there should be higher options

I'd say do it like Sprint did with their mobile broadband plans before they raped them: unlimited 4G (LTE) with a limit on 3G (HSPA+ included). Since LTE is so much faster and not as available, they shouldn't worry too much about making that unlimited, especially since the speeds let you blow past it so fast.

There shouldn't be a limit wth 5 markets having it available right now, but the limits and prices are a bit odd. Although on Sprint now 1GB = $51.20 with their overage rates. 😳

I see this argument a lot, but it doesn't make sense. Let's say we have a website that uses 150KB of data. Not much. Let's say it takes 10 seconds to load on 3G and 2 seconds on LTE. It's still loading 150KB total, on 3G and LTE. One might say, "But you can get to the websites faster so you'll want to browse more." This is rarely the case. If I want to look up a Wikipedia article through Google, I'll go Google, Wikipedia, and any related articles, same on 3G as 4G and LTE. Just because I'm doing it faster doesn't mean that the file sizes are different or that somehow I'm going to browse 15 times more content because I can do it faster.

Certainly that might be that option, but I don't see people using LTE racking up more on average than pe...

Bandwidth usage is proportional to the speed of the network... Idk how old you are, and if you remember the dial-up days... There is no way that YouTube, Hulu, Netflix or any other streaming video website out there would had been successful during dial-up days, because they would had simply sucked... With 4G speeds, new applications like HD movie viewing, conference video calling and many other options that we are not even aware of as of yet will be possible, which in turn will mean more Gigabytes being used (or abuse 😉 )

As this may be true for a lot of users. Since getting my Bionic and being able to use 4G LTE with verizon my data usage has gone from under 1GB a month to 40GBs last month and 68GBs this month. Web pages, files and videos are obviously the same size KB and MB wise but you can do a lot more. I average 14Mbs per second. You can watch full movies without it stopping to buffer, watch youtube in high quality without having to wait for the whole video to load so on and so forth. Once 4G LTE is truly nation wide and people are investing in a 4G LTE phone they will start to realize how much more they can do from the internet on their phone. Bringing their data usage up raising the bar on the "average" amount of data used in a month.

And it's people like that who made unlimited data go away >.< (That, and corporate greed, but still).

The more data intensive phones become, the greater the need to offload some of it to WiFi networks...and, let's be fair here, it isn't like at&t, in saying 'use WiFi' is leaving their customers high and dry, there are thousands of free at&t WiFi hotspots all over the country, and the number of hotspots is increasing....they're willing to take all of the data, just not on the cellular network....

There are higher options, if you go over you get another GB for 10 bucks that's really not a bad deal 1 cent a MB really at that point, if they came out and said you could get 5 GB for $50 bucks that wouldn't be to bad depending on how much you use it, but most people even on LTE really aren't going to to go over that 2 GB mark so say they do end up using 5GB in a month with overages it's $55, but like I said on average they might use around 2 GB, so they'd really just end up wasting money every month really just to save 5 bucks if they might go over.

I sell AT&T service. I know the lines. Hell, I have preset messages that say pretty much the same thing. All cool and dandy, but it doesn't make sense to me that LTE should be treated the same as current 3G services.

People on EDGE 2G speeds would be hard-pressed to go over 2 GB a month, if it's even possible at those speeds. It is plausible to go over 2 GB at 3G speeds, and it happens. At 4G LTE speeds, you can just take a look at the post from the guy saying he went from under 1 GB a month to over 40. An extreme case, but still.

At this point, the LTE network is relatively unloaded, while people argue that the AT&T 3G network is clogged up. Why not make it unlimited LTE at a reasonable price, so that you can offload some of the tra...
