Thank You Big Red
For finally realizing that people sometimes would prefer pre-paid over post-paid.
...
Now all they have to do is realize people don't want to pay an extra $100 for a smartphone all because it has LTE in it.
...
Be interesting to see if it's no roaming, or strictly their prepaid coverage which is a lot smaller area.
...
I was wondering the same thing. Hopefully an accurate coverage map will be posted on the website for this plan.
If there is no roaming StraightTalk offers an unlimited on Verizon's Network with no roaming for $5 less.
...
There is still roaming involve in it. And also it is still based on prepay coverage. So prepay do not have the royalties of postpaid customers to go in extended coverage areas. But I still say its better then Straight talk. Only because straight talk do not have full coverage as Verizon prepay customers do. Yes they are base on same towers but coverage is not the same in all areas. This is a great deal that Verizon is offering. Boost mobile cannot even compete with the coverage that Verizon offers. The Big Red comes out in top once again. Plus prepaid is a wireless provider major profit.

Verizon's coverage while good, doesnt measure up to the types of phone it offers within the prepaid markets. Most Verizons pre paid phones are very basic, and standard. I am hoping that there is a leak in the system, as with Page Plus on their network also that will back door better phones.

You pay more, that's the way it is. If you want the most advanced technology right away, it costs a lot more. Early adopters get hosed. That's the way it is, if you're going to be an early adopter, you simply have to accept that.
...
Knowingly at this point in time one should not expect all the bells and whistles with a pre-paid.
That is how it is usually with pre-paid.
Regardless Verizon Wireless has a very good coverage footprint with or without included roaming.
Even without pre-paid roaming and just Verizon-only coverage it is practically the best coverage footprint out there.
It is just the beginning for them on this plan. Give it time.

I was responding to the complaint that LTE phones are too expensive...yes they are expensive because they are the bleeding edge of technology, and if you're going to jump on the bandwagon of the newest technology the instant it is introduced, you just have to accept that you're going to pay a lot more than you otherwise would.
...
It's unfortunate how many people do.
Either to impress their friends or because they have so much money to burn.
