Verizon Confirms Tiered Data Plans to Start in July
Well I'm locked in with an unlimited 4G plan...
I sure am glad I took the plunge and got me the 4G Droid Charge when I did, one month ago today 😁
More and more consumers are probably going to consider Sprint as a choice. Especially with the beast of a smartphone the EVO 3D coming out in 3 days.

I used another line on my account to upgrade. My contract ends in September. If they tier my plan I'll just move on I guess. I use about 3-4 gigs per month. I'm a truck driver and I stream a lot of radio and video talk with my kids. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Video talk with your kids, that is sooooo coool!!!!! Unfortunatly I don't know anybody who has a smartphone with a user facing camera, so I can't video talk with anyone,...yet.

I work for Sprint, but i have Verizon, I really hope we are grandfathered in. I have an upgrade right now but there isn't really a phone i want. The Motorola Droid 3 suppose to release this month or next month, oddly there isn't any info on her about it, but there is on the boy genius report website.

WRONG! Verizon has already stated that whenever you change phone after your contract is up whether subsidized or unsubsidized, you are off unlimited and need to choose a new tiered data plan.

If you have the unlimited feature and upgrade to another 3G or 4G device you get to keep your unlimited data.
The only time you will lose the unlimited feature is if you change your device to a non smart phone. When the feature falls off the account it can nor be added back.

idk why pppl would switch to sprint the network is somewhat capable of handling video stream speeds but as quality gets better and speeds have to be fast its just SOL soon sprint will be following their WiMAX Clear cohorts and closing their doors

Sprint has had some good quarters recently. Plus they have over 50m customers. Their not going anywhere.

The Evo 3D will also be a big battery killer. Average battery life is around and hour and a half or so. Wonder if that will effect the sales of the phone or not, most people are sheep and just buy the newest thing not thinking with any reason though so who knows.
