I will probably get this as a second "play" phone.

I hope this phone is successful, it's been a long, long time in the works. And if anybody can make gaming successful in the wirless industry it is the PSP platform. Sony should stick with it though, and be persistent.

I agree, but Coming from the video game industry, I'm a little disappointed that this "gaming phone" is not a 4G phone. Gaming now has become a world of online gaming, XBox Live, Playstation Network, etc. Gamers want to play online with their friends. Having it be a 3G phone forces Gamers to be in a wifi network to achieve online gaming speeds, which almost forces them to be at their home to game wirelessly on their phone. If you have to be at home, why wouldn't you just play your console on a much bigger screen? While wifi is great for a younger audience, the Nintendo DS is suficient. But the audience that will own a Xperia Play is gonna be older and on the move. I think that this would have been better as a 4G phone and is kinda behind the...

I don't think sony was informed of the LTE network when they initially developed the phone. I'm sure if this one is good, they'll definitely come out with a 4g version. I would think the battery is going to drain in less than 2 hours on LTE. 🤣

There is that. Maybe with the increase of screen size, they could increase the battery size and maybe an induction charging system.
